I’m friended to many kids under the age and they are so cute and wholesome I don’t get why the have to be hit out the game it’s just the people who play the games they should understand not to curse in public where kids are, and before you saying anything I’m obviously 13+
Biggest thing is to prevent kids under 13 from disclosing personal and private information about themselves. This could lead to all kinds of issues as there are lots of predators out there. That is why they can't type, talk or use creative tools that could allow them to expose that information. All part of the Child Online Privacy Protection Act, COPPA.
Also, due to the recent changes in their Terms of Service, you can also end up in violation admitting that.
"To ensure that Rec Room is a safe and welcoming space for all users, you agree to report to us using in-game methods or the contact information provided below: (1) any other users that you believe are violating any of the foregoing prohibitions, and (2) any Content that you believe was submitted by or about a child under the age of 13."
I don't even get hiw do you people find annoying 9 year olds that are js running around a place and screaming? Tbh I'm friends with many mature people that told me that they are underage, I don't think yheres anything wrong with children on rr (I'm not underage)
Just like you don't send a 9 year old to the grocery store on their own, people should not be letting their kids out on to the World Wild Web to run into who knows what. I'm sure if you were old enough to have kids of your own you would be a little more aware of the dangers and things they get exposed to while no parent is there to protect or guide them.
