"No harm" but makes it into a witch hunting thread essentially. Just because some people like to feel special with rare items gives them just as much right to be upset when they come back up out of the blue.

Say for instance, you are given a trophy for winning the first ever Rec Room-a-thon. Then you found out a few months everyone can buy that same trophy for 2,500 tokens. Not such a special moment for you to remember is it?

For many things related to skins, they were challenged for that skin. The actually had to complete Jumbotron or managed to get their 5 kills in 1 game of Rec Royale for the first time. Then some new level 15 kid comes in, drops $5 worth of tokens and has the same thing. It don't feel so special any more.

Like, I get it, but at the same time, it is just digital clothing/skins. Besides the few that are restricted specifically for events, it's whatever to me.

Let's be real, it's not exactly like the challenges are all that hard, they're a bunch of the same challenges you can almost always cheese just spending a bit of time doing it, no one actually thinks "omg I did so much to deserve that skin"

Because players that are “og” want to stand out. At the same time there are players who gatekeep items; The more players who see og items being worn the greater the chance someone from the rec room team thinks “hey players seem to like this rare og cosmetic, if we put it on the marketplace we will gain lots of money.” Nevertheless this is just a game and the way they are making money now, even if it’s just from cash grab sales is allowing rec room to function successfully.

People are allowed to complain all they want about anything, just as you do so often. It is different when the complaints are then taken and used to try and shame them for whatever reason. It's not like the challenges or items are all that hard to get, but when you put time/effort into something to get something and have it for years, you feel unique. Then you see the same thing just handed out for tokens or discounted tokens, it stings a bit.

It don't matter what the definition means there. When they define the term in the CoC/ToS is how they use it. You could go deeper, Witch hunting means when you go out looking for witches to burn in the pyre.

I could make a rule saying "You are not allowed to cerfluffulate by writing the same word 5 times in the same sentence." The term makes no sense, but when you get a ban for cerflufulating, you know what you did wrong.
