Use a CV1-CV2 Converter

#

Or CV2 to CV1

#

Use a piston (CV2) and put a cube in there

peak spoke
#

no, do thus

#

do not use the piston method its bad

Naw

#

What’s that even supposed to do??

peak spoke
#

convert cv2 to cv1 🤓

cedar kiln
#

I don’t see that working at all

peak spoke
#

it does it with less chips, less cpu, less ink, locally

peak spoke
#

the green arrow on the v1 volume gives you your signal

#

i have been using it for like 6 months

Here is the actual best way to make a converter

#

(if you're willing to sacrifice a bit more ink)

peak spoke
#

wait what the fuck

#

that works?

#

cv2 chips can affect cv1 gadgets?

tribal ingot
#

Yep, its currently probably a bug

#

but, it works

peak spoke
#

thats cool as hell, i don't see how its better than my method tho

tribal ingot
#

you can set the text of a v1 button too, if I remember correctly

#

tags and roles have been pretty unreliable in my experience

peak spoke
#

i hear that a lot

#

never had firsthand experience with tag bugs

tribal ingot
#

I will say I've had more issues with roles than tags

#

Your method definitely works too

peak spoke

I remember talks of that setup being theorized i think over a year ago now. I remember making my own machine that transferred numbers between cv2 and cv1, and it actually worked really well!
It used the same sort of distance setup, and would dynamically react to any number input from cv1 or cv2 easily.
Then, they added the leaderboard chips. Now this distance setup is unnecessary, its better to just use leaderboards to transfer ints.
