if it could be added, why not?
they have voice moderation that can handle this, i think this could be possible
If voice mod can detect what people are saying then why not add this? If it’s not accurate it shouldn’t be used to ban people
@agile vessel @inland sapphire
Thats not how voice mod works, it cannot detect what you are saying, its not even automatic
ToxMod just records audio for like, the past few minutes along with an in-game report for context
toxmod runs in the background and handles voice moderation via ai, and to my knowledge it happens in realtime
I can see how it can't happen though since it is 3rd party software, where rr doesn't have access to it
unless I'm wrong. I thought that's why they had to update the user agreement to allow voice recording
Best case scenario, they add a "voice to text" button in the chat like some phones have so you can easily send chat messages when you choose to
Text to speech might be a problem, instead what if there was a bot for knowing what ypou've said? Actually, it may be a problem because sometimes words we say, goes different. Like, "hi!" goes to "High!" May be a problem for the deaf. Since, that would ruins tons of relationships. So, no we cannot add that.
This [hi! to high!] happens in a lot of auto generated subtitles already, youtube and cable/streaming television has been crap in that regard for decades. The deaf community has been able to understand and get through these many years. But it is a HUGE step forward for recroom to improve its ability to be more inclusive to deaf or the hh community.
Are you saying that my con was reasonable?
Or, no?
No, I was saying that your reasoning is applicable but having the subtitles still is a better option than not having it at all.
k
for the deaf ones
That'd be cool. Like subtitles that show up for people you're looking at/in your view, or people you choose.
A bit late but, yes, this is very wrong
Back when Morgan was active, They talked about how toxmod works
Weird, I dont see *@*ModulateMorgan in the server anymore
i guess they left
they're still here
