So recently I wanted to play Rec Room, but there was a new update. I tried installing the update but it said it couldn't and to contact meta support. I tried installing other games and they installed just fine. Support narrowed it down to just Rec Room and not my headset or PC. I'm not sure what to do. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Oculus app and everything they recommended, but nothing works. (Note: I play on Quest 2 with a link cable. I use the Oculus App and not Steam VR.)

Clear the cache folder and delete the registry key. It will reset all settings for Rec Room and may make you log back in with username/password.
Cache folder typically in:
C:\Users{username}\AppData\LocalLow\Against Gravity\Rec Room
In the Windows bar, type RegEdit. It will show as Registry Editor. CTRL+F or Edit>Find and search for Against Gravity. It should come to a folder under Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Against Gravity and it has another folder Rec Room under it. Delete that Rec Room folder and try again.
Just tried it
didn't change anything
I still can't install the update
what If I just delete the entire against gravity folder?
Changes nothing as the settings are in the Rec Room folder. Do you have enough space on the drive that you are trying to install the game to?
plenty
I just ended up switching to SteamVR
I contacted RR around April 2nd and they said they would look into it
