#Rec Room Inflation

they are overpricing everything just so they can get money, so yes, they are succumbing to inflation
No it's not inflation, they're just overpricing things and running meaningless events to sell merch because we're not players, only talking wallets and living bank accounts.
So yes they are
Look up rec room inflation on google
Rec room prices virtual glasses at $20 ๐
This is a serious problem for items in the character customiser, to learn more, search up rec room character inflation
They haft to pay their employees some how
Bro donโt forget the unicorn horn
They lost money
they lost investors so they lost money
so they need to sell things in the store that look cool enough for a person to buy or just really want and it works
the more money recroom gets the more investors
Naw they about to release off brand spooderman
well it still works
Fair point
If you've seen who they're hiring, along with the benefits and payment rate, and then compare it to how many staff they currently have (staff means people actually working for them not vmods or influencers) and then compare it to rec rooms current playerbase count you'll know that's complete horseshit
well they don't have many employess actually
if you look at the company's profile you could see info on investors and stuff
Sorry that I donโt care enough to look at numbers.
Sending those regards from a VRChat user, I do not blame you, but that's kinda how the economy works.
It not only involves the inflation part of things, but price and demand also play a big role considering Rec Room's value during the pandemic all the way up to this point.
yes yes
The document that guy mentioned up top was made in 2021, around that time, we were still sheltering in place, and watching the game exponentially grow 3 times what it usually was in users. One key thing to point out is that the employee amount went from 45 to 200 from 2016-2021. It might be more now in 2023 and with that, the rate of inflation probably grew about 3 or 4 percent more over the past couple of years. Now that we're maskless and free, we've lost some users, and so the investors, and some veterans, are practically gone.
Holy shit.
Yeah, no wonder Rec Room is making their prices high for newer things, not to mention the recycled items with recycled skins.
they apparently used to have 24 investors not so long ago
so they lost tons of money from that
also another thing which I don't really understand but I'm sure you probably do is this deal thing
In a sense, it's also our fault since our personal opinions and demands for things can cause the price to also be higher. If it's someone who doesn't have money, a job, or rely on their parents/guardians' cards, they're just broke unfortunately. Creating things is honestly a skill issue, but it can be done.
the latest deal amount they had was 145 million dollars in december 20, 2021
Yeah I saw
well they also rely on kids begging and using their parents credit cards for the cool accessories just like in roblox indirectly ofc
Makes sense. I always compared Rec Room to Little Big Planet, but it's acting like Roblox more than anything.
Even mentioned them in their new survey like A LOT.
yeah
And now with the custom shirts too especially
and the fact the the minimum price for custom shirts is 1k tokens too
yeah this one survey that asked about tokens especially
too much questions about it and they got annoying for me
Same
