Whenever I try to play audio from my phone to try to get music into the game via audio sampler recording, it naturally sounds really chunky. What’s a better way of importing music into the game?

i think they're talking about how it sounds, i think you need to put eq to counter the compression

As dave said best quality music is done through Voicemeeter or Soundpad i record music in recroom myself and havent heard quality issues with it yet
even though it will never sound as the original audio most people wont tell the difference.
