Trying to continue some Rec Room videos that are a WIP and I just find it very difficult.

This isn't a condecending question or complaint. Genuine advice is welcome.

Ever since a lot of my passion for the game disappeared, so did my will to keep making videos that cover the game, even though I still have a lot to say.

Good question. I think it boils down to two things:

1. Through Rec Room (and other outlets), I found a love of research. Right now it is a hobby. But depending upon how my health goes in the next few months, I may start my degree a little sooner. That is a degree for professional study/research. That's not to say I enjoy every moment I'm working on the wiki, or other related thing.
2. Through my current career, I've learned how to work long, difficult hours with little to no payment (just how the military is). It can be difficult to start something you don't want to do. But I find that if you push yourself through the initial phase, the workflow speeds up. Like trying to move a large boulder, it will start slow, but momentum will cause it to roll easy later on. I don't like working out (despite my job being very physically demanding), which makes it difficult to be motivated to go out and exercise. But after the workout, I never regret having done it.

Life is dull sometimes, trust that the other side is worth it. Or as what is commonly said in the military: "Embrace the Suck"

For example: I looked at the Wiki then at what I had available to update it (specifically the weekly rotation/shops). I didn't feel like there was much I could add. But I sat down and started digging anyways. Werewolf helped a lot with the missing pieces.
But as of now, I have no desire to work on my in-game map RecWiki. To both update it to current date or to remake it with Studio tools in R2.0. I'm very unmotivated right now. One of these days I'll just force myself to work on it.
And the video creation process 😫. I hate editing. It takes so long for me to edit videos. I always dread it. But, I'm happy to look back on what I have done in the past. My videos are far from perfect, but it's nice to see the finished product and see my progression as I better my videography and editting.

This might be their shift to moving all items to being Avatar Studio items. Yes, even 1st party stuff.

Jay here heavily implies the "missing" items will be made available again. Sounds like someone hasn't flipped the switch on making them available to download from the server.

So no, the items aren't gone. Everything is just slowly moving over to being downloaded from a server in an effort to decrease the game's file size.

I'm curious as to how this helps the game in the long run but I can somewhat understand this move. Otherwise you just have a lot of legacy items bundled with the main install of Rec Room and that's bloat and old behavior you have to keep supporting.

By moving all the 1st party items to also be part of Avatar Studio, you erase that bloat, erase the possibility of issues in the future, it's a preventive maneuver. This is just my educational guess.

plus i have to be honest, it actually is faster to fix some visual bugs the clothing items have

with the shirt being in the files you have to put the model in unity, code it in the game so it works. test it et cetera.

if there is a bug it takes ages for the devs to release it.

with avatar studio it should be easier to fix visual bugs without needing to update the game

There are 17 Caution skins currently. The invasion laser rifle isn't a caution skin (especially since there's already a caution version of that weapon)

The newest is actually the paint burst gun. It released in shop without the "new" tag within the last few months. Unless it flew under the radar as a bundle or gift card item

I'd have to agree with SequeNce on this. Sure there are non-sexual body pillows, but I'm pretty sure the majority are sexual in nature. If one is let through, it won't be long until someone's porfolio is just "the body pillow account" where they just swap the image with more and more borderline images.
