I saw the message about how the devs are gonna make weekly challenges into monthly challenges and would like to say if you did this to your challenge system it would make it so dry and less fun. Now of course this does come with its own tinks.
*more custom skins
*more time to collect skins
*people would less likely to get repeat skins
*most likely be more versatile
*having a more unique ways to play for challenges

i can't really think of any more benefits but i have a answers to all of these to keep weekly challenges, weekly

*for skins make it where the community can participate in skins , steam has a workshop section that can be added to see other creations. My idea is you make a workshop section for the rec room and allow people to have blank 3d models of the guns in the rec room. Then people around would be able to post their skins and others can vote for what they like to be put in the game. Once that happens then its the devs choice to put witch skins in the game. but not everyone runs on a pc so they make an in game system to be able to paint, add, and shape guns in vr to post on a new voting tab in the watch to post your new skins for people to see and vote. after admins can add it to the game as one of the weekly's

#

*The amount of time we have weekly is plenty of time to complete, most of the time i can finish the challenges in 2 days so expanding to a month would make us have to wait so long especially for the people who complete there challenges in the first hour. this monthly thing would do nothing but make the weekly boring and dry

*For the repeat skins you can do multiple things to make it seem more rewording for veterans of the rec room who have most of the skins. 1st thing you can do is if you already have the skin then they will get a box with a token ranging from 100-500, this is so it would still be worth doing the box sense it will grant you a reward. 2nd, give the player a low five star box, what i'm meaning is to give the player a five star that is one of the cheapest so it's a way for people who played for a while can actually get all the easy five stars but, in rec room i know how yall prize yall five stars to be achievements so instead make it a chance to get five stars so like you would most likely get a 4 star but have a 10-25% chance to get a low price five star. or just keep the way you've been doing cause if you do the community helps with skins bit, then you won't have to worry about as much repeats

#

*The versatility is huge with this monthly thing. you can do a lot but here's the thing, why ruin an already good challenge system with something that will most likely be worse than the original . like yea we've been asking for more but not a whole new system, we wanted skins, not a monthly challenge.

*Another thing I can see is you can make more ways for the monthly challenges to be unique but honestly adding more challenges and skins to the weekly would be amazing cause it would be the things we wanted.

now i will have to say that this new monthly thing is not really what people wanted and so i will say if you want to change the ui of the weekly to make it more new sure go ahead but don't ruin it

But the reason there doing this is so they understand the system better and understand how it works more

#

They will be only doing this for a while and they wanna understand how the coding behind all this works because there is honestly so much coding involved in a game even on simple Roblox games, and for the scale Roblox itself and Rec Room itself is becoming there coding is probably massive and probably requires a whole team maybe even more than a whole team to understand work on it and fix the problems and to understand it way better and to make us the players have a better experience

I thought it was because of the number of people actually doing the challenges was 1% of Rec Room.

No it's so they understand it more, they explained that

What are you confused on

#

no they arent

#

What I mean though is they wanna understand it better than they already do and improve upon it

#

Like for example you know how whenever they release a new update and there may be new bugs and stuff and then they learn from that and fix those bugs and so on and so on

#

Coding is complicated and even when you understand it a bug can still obviously occur but you learn from those and then improve upon them
