That’s the weirdest thing I’ve heard on this server, you have to be trolling. They can likely afford it, but the method of purchasing anything on this game without paying IRL money has become near impossible.
Back when the game was sponsoring very questionable influencers, one of the main points was that you didn’t have to buy tokens. That point has become completely obsolete now.

I literally bought it, my point is that some people actually have hair like that and if it goes then in the future if someone gets rec room and that hair matches their irl hair, and then they see that hair on someone else and they go "yeah you'll probably be able to get this" it'll be like a slap in the face
people like being able to represent their selves, but some people won't be able to do that without certain hairs, honestly the current hair system is really bad for representing your own hairstyle, but to make any hairs limited time furthers that issue
