#Petition to ban costume creators or maps

Follows the CoC, I don't like them but they won't be banned for sure
if you say anything about 2019 being good, it's only good cuz of nostalgia
most of the time at least
🥱 a better solution instead of dissing part of the community would be nice, not to mention RR has always had low effort spam maps so this is nothing new it's up to the players what they play at the end of the day and good maps do get played I can attest to that myself several of my friends have gone from nobodies to top creators because they put lots of effort it.
Case and point
yea RR has always had spam maps
contest rooms are really good most of the time
you just have to find the right people
also featured maps are really good most of the time (except for contest season)
I wish but rec room community isn’t the same
You say that like you expect it to be like it was in 2019 when the game was still a youngling in terms of community size
I'm gonna have to disagree. Why would we ban costume creators or their maps? They aren't breaking the Code of Conduct and are well within their right to continue creating maps that revolve around costumes. Just because you dislike a genre of rooms doesn't mean the room itself or the creator should be banned because the same could be said for PVPs, hangout rooms, etc. Honestly, I really don't think costume rooms are as big of a deal as you think it is either.
If anything, I'd blame the old ads that targeted a younger audience, though I'm pretty sure Rec Room has already taken steps to fix this. We've been seeing higher effort ads lately in comparison to the old ads from the people that they were partnered with. A younger audience in a game like this is inevitable either way. It's just what happens with growth.
omfg the recroom ads kill me 🤣
The old ads were actually atrocious but apparently Rec Room dropped the partnership with the company that helped produce some of the older ads.
ANYWAY Ima head out and go make LBP levels bc why not nostalgia gl with this jusea
what's lbp
We at least had to see maps with a couple hundred players visited
That have alot of great things in it
idk spam maps are technically allowed so you can't really do anything about it lol
just scream at them all you want ig
True 🫤
The rec room before rec room, LittleBigPlanet™️
I don’t think screaming at them will do anything I’ll just let them do their thing im just on a little rant I apologize
I used to do spam maps, some random adult knocked some sence into me
stopped doing them afterwards and deleted all of the maps
I basically want to be a podcast person in rec room but im still building it.it will help me socialize more and learn more about building
nice
Like I said, Rec Room has been taking steps to improve their ads. I think a better proposition would be to push for the creation of more features that allow players to sort through greater curated rooms, sort of like the "Moods" tab that we had. I agree that it is harder to find some of the higher effort rooms as they get drowned out by a handful of lower effort rooms.
Yeah (this is just me) but I feel later in 2023 there will be 2x more ik we can’t do anything but I’m just wondering on how it will affect the community more
We just gotta see on how it will change in the future
i agree except for the part where you say that 14-15 year olds cant build bc i have a friend thats 14 and hes a maker pen teacher and bro can build like nobody business
The age rating is 9+ btw
The official age rating is technically 10+ though, the content inside isn’t rated 10+ as if it were, junior accounts wouldn’t exist.
The only reason I brought up the age rating is because they were saying that rec room is being promoted as a kids game, which again it is. I’m not defending Rec room I actually go against them but I’m just saying, the age rating is 9 / 10 whatever it is
Originally it wasn’t being promoted as a kids game, which is why I believe people are complaining in regards to the ads. Rec Room’s main goals currently are also not child promoting, since they’re going for a UGC route (leading towards more professional as RR studio is releasing) & funding content content creators.
I also want to clarify that an age rating is which age it’s appropriate for, not exactly which age it’s directed to.
