you are asking Cv2 users how to use Cv1, despite the fact they having nothing to do with each other
the reason people pay more attention to Cv2, is because Cv2 is better than Cv1, and easier

There are some other ways to do it.
But
The easiest I find is to use a state machine. Your main signal will trip the gate between the two states. And wire desired single signal to the on enter pin of the second state.
If its a trigger volume sending the signal you can configure the trigger volume and set "triggers once" to true.
plug the signal into a multiply chip and multiply it by 1 when you want it enabled and 0 when you want it off. There are many other options though such as a trigger volume and a button
