#PLEASE ADD SCREEN SHAKE CHIP FOR VR

motion sickness<3
Still they should do it
Yes
easy solution, animation gizmo with a seat
ok but what if you wanted the player to move around while the shaking is happening
like something emerging from the earth or something
And seats are very inaccurate
motion sickness intensifies
They could have a option in settings
To allow screen sake
During games
Comfort setting ❤️
Amazing thank you for reminding me that existed<3
Or Yknow, a room warning exist tho
true
Honestly this is very needed, this and a FOV chip that applies for both screen mode and VR. Of course these could be negated on VR and Screenmode using a settings in Settings
I don't think an FOV circuit would work in VR.
Screen shake is pretty nonstandard in VR, and some sort of FOV change would also be very disorienting.
There exists screen shake and FOV chips for screen mode
This I know, which is why I suggested myself options to negate the effects of these chips in the settings like how you can turn off FOV changes on screenmode already. For players that don't get motion sick often it would be a nice way to add more immersion to your games, like going down a steep slope on a old wooden roller coaster or a giant robot stepping beside you, while FOV changes can indicate high speeds.
Honestly it's completely understandable why y'all don't want it on VR as you've already listed your reasons, I just think it would be great for more immersive gameplay experiences.
I disagree and I don't think I'm alone, but if you see other VR games doing it and doing it well, feel free to link them
I think there is a circuit to make vr controllers vibrate which could be a substitute
I believe Half Life Alyx does it
Not only what Egg said above me, but the other Half Life VR ports use FOV and screen shakes and those all play and feel really smooth, although just like how Rec Room could inlude the settings, they always always had settings to turn FOV and screenshakes off
Alyx doesn't do stuff with FoV
Do you have videos of it?
I do not have any videos as my PC struggled with Alyx, but it's when the train is crashing.
I was talking about the ports, like Lambda Vr and HL2 Vrmod, as they both use FOV changes
