#Overpriced Shirts?

i think 1000 - 2000 is what i would pay but 3000 - 5000 is kinda overpriced tbh
yikes didn’t know people were charging over 2500 for a shirt 💀 that’s absurd
Its average also some people dont have skill soo
For rec roomers +: average, For Free Rec rommers: CAP THESE ARE OVERPRICED
But yet, people drop 20,000 on a necklace, 15,000 on a keytar, $60 on a bundle. These are things you don't need, but yet people want them. So, they are going to keep offering them. I guess we'll see how the sales come out after the week and see if people think they are over priced.
they probably worked hard on those
I agree wih guineapigplayz i think 3,000 or more is too much
Ink Inc is varying the prices so they can test what makes the most money
wait is the price determined by inkinc and not the player that made the costume?
Casually leaving ping on
I think you could choose to price it yourself or have them price it for you
I haven’t submitted any custom shirts but when I submit to featured inventions and stuff I usually let them change the price if they want to because they probably know better than I do so I would expect a lot of the shirt submissions to have done the same
I am on screen so not the best at custom shirts but I think if i submitted a shirt I would make it below 3,000 because many people don't have thousands of tokens to spend on single custom shirts
Some people don’t even have a thousand to spend
exactly
make it at least 300 - 900
so it doesnt have to be something like 250, 100, etc. but just don't make it so overpriced
Yeah but if 5 people buy a 3,000 token shirt it’ll make more money than if 12 people buy a 1,000 token shirt
But if the expensive ones don’t sell well these first couple weeks they’ll stop making them cost that much
im not saying don't do 3,000 tokens for profit reasons, im just saying if you want a lot of people to buy it, just don't make it TOO high
Also because i just joined discord it doesn't say i was part of defenders lol
that gift one honestly looks worth it for its price :o
also that :devious: one on the bottom right lol
yes for a printed shirt it should not be the same price as one that someone put hard work into drawing
Personally I'd price my own shirts between 250 to 5k tokens. Mainly since its mass selling a product, so im catering to more people. The reason it's 1k to 10k is because they want a higher standard. Basically the higher the price the percentage they take, is more tokens. I also think it's helpful and healthy for our market. The standard would prevent anyone trying to undersell everyone and dominate the market.
I mean the same goes for any inventions so far, they've been setting pricing standards to get featured. I don't blame them for wanting to profit off their bussiness.
Another thing is that art is so subjective, whether the price is worth it or not changes with everyone
But trust me people wouldn't be pricing that if they're weren't people willing to buy. It's really worth how much your willing to spend for it. If it's something you really want and like then price doesn't matter at that point either right?
I feel like shirt prices now arent a big deal. Especially since your supporting creator work vs in-game items which support the devs/bussiness. Which is perfectly fine, but the price ranges for those are more worrisome - not to mention the overused practice of limited items, bundles, etc. It can all be very manipulate/exploitive, it can be easily seen as pressure
Creators nor companies can possibly cater to everyone 💀 welcome to life. I could say the oppisite to make a similar point, some people have a thousand or more to spend. At that point blame how these tokens are earned and not the price
Its a good price, since you are paying for actual handmade art.
If you make them cheap, then everyone has it and it doesn't feel "special" to have it. Some person that just played 4 games of paintball, got lucky with tokens in each game now has the same "unique" shirt you saved up to earn. What's the point of even buying things if you know everyone can have it.
Everyone wants to feel different and one way to make it like that is different barriers. Setting a higher price barrier on things gives them the slight exclusivity that makes people want them more. Gives people something to play for and possibly buy token packages to get them even sooner.
The same goes for everything in the commercial world. Sure, you could probably get a hand made leather bag with a cool LV logo printed on it for $25, but is it as exclusive as the one that someone bought from the actual brand for $25,000?
