in the opinion of alot of people the mechanics are just really buggy and gameplay is too stale for replay-ability... i mean just look at it on the hot page

Rec rally is honestly the worst RRO. Maps boring to look at (in my opinion) and the gameplay is just kinda bland short cuts areant short cuts and theirs like no substance to the gameplay no reason to actually go back and play rally unless it's for a weekly and even then it would be easier to just do 10 games of paint ball.

Still been waiting for them to add recrally's map as a base room. They said on release they'd do it about a month after... it's been a year. I have powerups I wanna add but I can't use makerpen because "wah quest 1 bad and we want them to play wahhh"

i dont think its horrible but it definitely didnt live upto the literal years of hype. me personally, i wasnt hyped for it so im unbiased but it was still a letdown

I do not like Showdown but if given the choice I’d take 100 rec rallies over 10 showdowns, if you get it.

I wish you could change the number of laps or that there were more maps but i do still love it. It’s so satisfying driving on smooth terrain rather than clunking around on player-made maps.

I feel like it's not even the lack of maps that make rec rally bad, it's the lack of original gameplay. Because they released both the cars and nitro boosts to the prop menu, rec rally has nothing that makes it any more unique than a makerpen-built room.

If it were any faster it’d be too chaotic and almost unplayable in some areas. Any of the jumps could send you waayyy too far forwards and when losing control slightly you’d be way less likely to recover. Also steering is about as good as it can be, i reckon it’d just be the bumpiness that bothers you but for an off-road vehicle that’s natural.

Loved it... I was good at it...but then they changed the physics for hay stacks so they slow you down... cars suddenly felt different... only one map... only power up is a strange reskin of the energy drink from stunt runner... Still good at driving... but kinda pissed off

But what Rec Room should do is a big Rec Rally update. I'd like to see the following: M O R E power-ups, atleast 1 cool map, NEW mechanics (like a jump button, or a gliding mode kinda like super mario kart...) more rec rally exclusive rewards, ADD F*CKEN STAGE HAZARDS (I was really disappointed when there was no train in first map), maybe have somethin to do with the extra seats, like make a mode where the driver focuses on driving while a person on the back slows other racers down! I can come up with ideas all day

how the starts are always a pain because most of the time u crash
or how the physics are horrible
maybe how no one knows how to leave space so when you overtake through s corner and the person ahead of you will crash into you
another great part is theirs only one map
oh how could i forget how long it takes to get into a game and then people leave and you have to dodge there cars

They need to make the speed boost fuel local, if you get in first place it’s almost impossible for people to catch up because the boosts take forever to respawn so they miss out if you grab them first.
Also the game should be able to start with fewer people, AND cars should despawn when their drivers leave, it’s annoying having people quite halfway and then you have to deal with their buggy parked in the middle of the track.

Oh i’m actually preeeetty good at rec rally, i just quickly feel bad because if i’m in first place it’s almost impossible for someone to catch up fir me to race against, you just get way to far ahead and it feels like you’re driving solo

though i have been stuck in second my fair share of times and yeah, if they know the best routes and get those boosts before you it’s really rough 😢
