2D art in Rec is impressive on its own due to the poopy tracking on some headsets.

imo its because you dont have to spend alot on art supplies. ik you will ask " ok but the vr headset costs alot" you only pay once for the headset, while for art supplies they can wear out or get too used. you have a sketchbook full of pages? welp time to buy another one. pencils get too short? well time to buy more and it keeps going on while for example the quest 2 you only pay once for, get rechargable batteries then you can draw or make 3d art in vr for a long, long time. oh and plus vr has multiple uses, if you want to use it for one thing then do it, if you use it for making 2d art then do it

I agree with @signal kayak ‘s point but to add on to it: I enjoy drawing in Rec Room because for me personally it’s the easiest place to find people I can draw with and share my art with :] I don’t really have a space like that irl. I also enjoy the challenge of the limited tools, might sound strange, but I prefer it

I would say it's easier to show your art capability through that way as its easier to share publicly. Also art supplies are unlimited in virtual reality so it's not much of a hassle to go out and buy some.

I can't really say anything though as I prefer Sketchbooks as friction is nice.

Drawing in Vr is fun id say though personally I like to draw on my drawing tablet a lot more, more convenient for me. I usually tend to only do sketches and what not in Vr cause its easier to use my whole are to draw which is recommended. Though I would say that if you enjoy drawing in Vr go on ahead 👍

Out of game images are not allowed in rec room. But, there are people who use drawbots to make an image that is drawn in-game by the bot ... I was busy for hours yesterday doing some.

They are kinda limited in their use in Recroom because the game doesn't have a colour palette that the bot can access so you're basically stuck to two colours (background and one marker pen).

So basically you want to get your maker pen out, go to pallete, gadgets, gizmos and spawn in the rotator chip. Then you want to get a marker and spawn that in. You then want to select the wire tool and hold trigger on the marker and wire it to the cork on the rotator. Remember, the further away the marker is, the bigger the circle. You then want to select configure on the maker pen and press trigger while aiming at a red thing sticking out of the rotator, then on your pallete this thing will pop up and you want to set it to 1. Then you do the same with the green tab but set it to a higher number so it's faster @pastel mulch.
