#Community Planning For The Next Game - Community Ideas Wanted! (Not Gameplay)

I don't know if that would work at Mega Con.
Magfest maybe?
Anime Expo I think it's the biggest anime / japanese culture convention not in Japan and they've gone to AX before so i did suggest that
Anime Expo is close to me, so I like that idea. I went there with Indivisible and had a good time. It's insane how big it's gotten.
For something like AE, I think trying to have a panel to talk about the game would be the easiest to organize and would have some good impact beyond the event. Of course, convention appearances are all about timing and where they fall along a game's promotional plan. I don't know the timeline yet, so I don't know which cons are in the sweet spot.
How does something in the Eastern United States sound for you all? (MagFest, Momocon, Otakon, etc...)
Maybe if there's still a good relationship with IntiCreates you could join with them possibly?
I think i saw IntiCreates there every year I've gone, and I've been there like 7 or 8 times
Mega Con?
I can do Otacon.
We will see. We haven't leaned into the anime cons in the past mostly because we aren't familiar with them.
Maybe Too Many Games in Philadelphia?
That'd be cool for a crossover promotion thing
I can confirm that 2024 AX, IntiCreates was selling Bloodstained stuff
Curse of the Moon 2 special edition specifically
I think back in 2019, I saw some CotM1 stuff being sold when they were at Momocon too. I actually met Matt Papa there once
What about Gamescom or maybe Geoff Keighley would be proud to show off Bloodstained 2 @cerulean pulsar
I know Geoff loves his indie studio games and to have him market Bloodstained would he huge! Comic con Denver is always big too, sand Diego, I think Bloodstained at places like anime (depending if the art style is different) or games convention would be sweet, I'd love to see it at Denvers comic con. I also want to see more merchandise like Keychains, stuffys, shirts are huge for me and sadly I can't find any Bloodstained shirts, and figure scales for like Miriam or Dominique. Would be really nice!
Both are possible. Like everything, it's more a timing issue than anything else. Is the game at the right place to show something? Is it too early for a first announcement? Too late? It's always a balancing act.
I'd like something at the Tokyo Game Show, just because I'd like to have the company pay for me to go to Japan. 😆
A community get together could be fun though
Plus in a place like a convention, could get attention of randos who are just passing by
Agreed. It's fun to be able to meet in person.
TGS event would be very fun too🤭❤️
What I think would be great is a seasonal event in the vein of "Return to Lordran" (from Dark Souls) and its equivalents of its sequels, where everyone engaged in the community make a new character and start the game like it's launch day again
Something to encourage replays
Another thing I think would be cool is something in the vein of "Four Job Fiesta" for Final Fantasy V, where a party is randomized and you must beat the game with that composition. In the case of Bloodstained a build could be randomized for people to run with
So you are only allowed to use a certain combination of shards and weapon types
While I don't dislike your idea, a big part that made Return to Lordran successful was the multiplayer aspect
Yeah, you're right...
One thing that might be a good idea is just a community get together on the coattails of events
Which I've recommended several times.
People who just happen to be going to or want to go to conventions and stuff can gather together with cosplays and / or merch
I'm rather later to the Bloodstained hype train – bought it in the past year and finished normal mode once and 100% the map at level 48
But now I'm getting back to the game, trying to enjoy other aspects of it before I replay it on NG+ and then move on to a fresh save on Hard and then Nightmare
So I've been having casual fun on Chaos Mode
And just did Classic Mode 1 tonight
But I want to be an active member of the community now
I certainly want to have get-togethers at conventions as we promote the game.
It might be too late for Anime Expo since that's in July, but I guess you could post about a meet up for anyone who just might happen to be there?
Yeah, all that it's harderfor me
Anime/game events I go to are much farther away
I'm on the organization team for an event in my area (in Brazil)
used to be a member of the videogames section (generally organizing fighting games championships and Juste Dance tournaments)
now I'm the coordinator of the tabletop RPG zone
I guess the contribution I could give with that is running a game set in the Bloodstained universe
One reason I suggest anime expo is not just the sheer volume of people, but also because iga did run a panel back in like 2017 or 2018 or something
2016
#AnimeExpo #AX
The man that, pretty much, invented IGA-vania has come to Anime Expo. Learn a little about his origins as a game designer and more, plus more on Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. This is the final panel I recorded for Anime Expo 2016. Guess what's the phrase of the day on this panel here?
NOTE: My old Sony Cybershot can only...
I'm a big Anime Expo fan, though I haven't been since I was there with Indivisible.
