So apparently there's concern about the stuff i'm adding to the wiki?

Also apparently someone's going around "adding my units" to the wiki.
I have never posted any of my custom units to the wiki. (The only truly custom unit i've even made was the ARG reactor, all the others are just stuff i nabbed from the mission levels)

#

If this is the unit thats been added to the wiki that supposedly is mine:
1: I didn't do this, i don't know who did.
2: This isn't even my unit, this is a default unit from the founders mission.

What i am doing is taking that unit and the obelisk, and combining them into a single Cpack for my own convenience in map-making in the future, but that has nothing to do with the wiki

OK, good that we clarified this. I did notice that it came from a different IP and region, so I was still checking if it was a VPN. My apologies, but after being admin on Internet properties for a number of years, coincidences act as red flags.

I don't recall the exact issues around your posts and why I reverted a few of them. I will go back and review what the changes were and give you feedback. Then I can remove the lockout and you will be free to continue contributing,

OK, I know what precipitated me locking you out. You added lots of information to some of the enemy unit pages. A lot of that information, IMHO was not necessary for a player and probably very obvious to a map maker. However, I let it slide and I edited some of your contributions to reformat as follows:

#

Shortly thereafter, you overrode those changes and formatted the page to look like this:

#

This, FYI, was the original format you entered that information on the page

oh yea that formatting was a mistake i didn't know how to fix, and for some reason i also didn't remember i could just revert the changes, genuinely my bad there.

OK, now that we have come to an understanding, I have restored your access to the wiki to the previous level. (Same as all registered community members).

Feel free to ask how-to questions, or to look at other pages to get an idea for how pages are formatted. For the material that has been reverted, you can copy it over from one of the older pages.

The "Syntax" page (a link appears at the top of every edit page) has a guide to formatting and al the plug-ins that are installed).

#

Bear in mind that there are two audiences for the wiki. The very large player audience that needs the unit info pages. They never make maps, but just need to know how units operate. The much smaller map maker community has a need for more info, and the bulk of the wiki is devoted to them. So it is in my opinion, best that map maker specific info is not mixed in in unit capability pages (such as the aforementioned info on enemy unit editor pane values. But you can ask around and see if other community members agree or not.

The wiki is, after all a community resource and all contributions are welcome.

Alright, fair enough!

The one question i have at the moment is:
Can i re-add the specific unit interaction information onto the Dark Tower's page?
The stuff that you undid and i complained about

I think I've just put them all back for you. Check and let me know.

@fair torrent Dude, if you don't know, don't just dump badly formatted stuff into the wiki. Look at the syntax guide, or the syntax guide for the particular plugin you're using, or even ask here in Discord.

I just spent 5 minutes fixing one of the two pages you messed up.

A definition list has a format as follows:

two spaces, a "?" then one space and the definition term.

On the next line (no blank lines), is the definition term:
Two spaces, a ":", one space and the description.

If you want an indented list, add two more spaces before both of these.

Air Sac Cauldrons have editable attributes, which can be modified using the map editor:

  ? Start Delay:
: The amount of time, in either frames or seconds, from the moment the map is first unpaused to the very first Air Sac deployment.
  ? Launch Interval:
: The amount of time, in either frames or seconds, between deployments.
  ? Payload:
: The amount of creeper each Glop releases upon bursting.
  ? Count:
: The amount of Air Sacs deployed every interval.
  ? Target Type:
: Can be set to 1 of 3 values:
    ? Random
: picks a random spot(s) on the map to target.
    ? Structure
: picks a random unit(s) on the map to target.
    ? Location
: uses either the "Target Loc" defined below, or can be programmed with 4rpl.
  ? Target Loc:
: The X & Z values for the "Location" setting above.
  ? Disable Minimap Warn:
: If enabled, the mini-map will not warn the player of this unit's impending attack.

I'm not fixing the other page, please fix it or revert it.
