great question. The forum request and vote serves multiple purposes, at least in my eyes. First, it creates measurable metrics for fan enthusiasm. another aspect in my eyes is to allow a forum for fans of a specific game to gather without derailing the main channels with calls of please port/remaster this game. another would be for much easier to track discussions that could be of great value to the game in question, as opposed to trying to use discord's built in search function and hoping you remember a specific word used in the discussion.

I wouldn't contend that it is entirely successful at any of the above mentioned endeavors, but it is healthier for the server overall than not having it at all.

but, as far as what games get made and remastered, the metrics haven't been indicative of what's chosen. Killing Time has 16 ssHeart even after being announced, for example. but it could be useful in a broader sense of "woah people liked that game i dismissed way more than i thought they would".

I don't think they can choose what game they will remaster. They need to get the rights and finances from the company. I guess they just jump on occasion

They want to remaster Hexen. They need to wait for microsoft to agree and finance them i guess

NOLF is another big one for night dive but no one even knows who owns the rights to that series
