When I launch the game in SteamVR it will show the thumbnail of the game and say "Up Next", then after a few moments it returns back to my game library. When I view this interaction from my desktop I can see the game launching to a black screen where it hangs for a few seconds, then the game crashes back to my desktop.
I'm playing on a Quest 3 using Virtual Desktop using SteamVR as my OpenXR Runtime. I have also tried using VDXR, as well as both Airlink (ensured runtime was set to OpenXR in the Gneral settings section) and Steamlink and the issue persists.
What I have tried so far:
Rebooted Steam VR
Rebooted PC
Uninstalled/Reinstalled the game
Verified Game Files {No issues found}
SteamVR Settings -> OpenXR -> Current OpenXR Runtime is set to 'SteamVR'
SteamVR Settings -> Video -> Pause VR when Headset is Idle - This is set to 'OFF'
Event Viewer spots the game crash as an Error, Event ID 1000, Application error:
Faulting application path: E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\The Light Brigade\LightBrigade.exe
Faulting module path: C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\ntdll.dll
When I go to the log files located here:
C:\Users[UserName]\AppData\LocalLow\Funktronic Labs\The Light Brigade\Player.log
I noticed these lines in the log file, not sure if they indicate a problem or not
The referenced script (Unknown) on this Behaviour is missing!
The referenced script on this Behaviour (Game Object '<null>') is missing!
A scripted object (probably UnityEngine.XR.OpenXR.Tests.MockInteractionFeature?) has a different serialization layout when loading. (Read 68 bytes but expected 188 bytes)
I think there is something that has become corrupt during my original install, and I must have missed a file during my uninstall that has stuck around. I'm a seasoned VR player and I work in I.T., but this one is throwing me for a loop. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
