I’m with you on viewing tarot.
There’s a weapon thread you can add to, though both of those were mentioned.
I will say IMHO garand and Thomson are too similar to nambu and m3. They are basically just another flavor (m3 was the replacement for the Thompson in ww2 because Thompson was too expensive and hard to produce).
You can see what tarots are in effect through the status entry in the menu. But it’s cumbersome.
You can already view current active Tarot cards. Open your menu, choose status, and scroll to the bottom of the list. I would agree to a measure such as showing you the combined total of your cards without having to hover your curser over each card.
The M3 is a tiny pea-shooter compared to the Thompson. The rate of fire, magazine capacity, the SWEET, SWEET SOUNDS- they don't compare, especially with the Drum Mag....
They’d have to add unreliability with the drum….those things notorious for Mis-feeding.
I still used them in ItR, with the ppsh.
They are the same caliber, .45 ACP. The damage the M3 does compare to the 1911 in this game is laughable. The Thompson was not superior to the M3, not the M3 superior to the Thompson. One is just more iconic than the other. The M3 is fine for this game, but having weapon variants is most definitely welcome.
I will admit, however, that the only time I got to fire a Thompson, I was utterly surprised by the recoil. I had to stop shooting because I didn't think the weapon was going off. I must have had a really good stance and awesome ear-pro because it simply felt like someone was lightly pushing my shoulder back. I had to watch the brass leaving the weapon to know it was functioning properly. It was really quite enjoyable.
M3 is iconic to anybody interested in ww2 history and/or the economics of making guns.
Admittedly that cannot compete with gangsters in the popular imagination.
Hollywood and Call of Duty have really driven the Thompson into the minds of people.
I'd ditch the M3 if I could- the STG44 is EPIC! Just got to use it after picking it up from an enemy last night.
Can't wait to unlock Assault
Enemy auto weapons generally perform far better than yours do. Keep that in mind.
Especially in terms of recoil.
Desert Eagle, a semi auto sniper, laser (and not the ones that can rarely be found at the end of a run), more pouches for ammo/loot, NG+ where you keep all cards and attachments.
And when I say desert eagle, I mean pair it with the sniper... the passive is more damage.
Desert eagle wasn’t released until 1982, we’ll after ww2. So not in the milieu.
They said they want to keep weapons to ww2. It does make the holographic and laser sights seem weird though. <shrug>
Holo sights were definitely around in ww2, not sure about the lasers though
A holographic weapon sight or holographic diffraction sight is a non-magnifying gunsight that allows the user to look through a glass optical window and see a holographic reticle image superimposed at a distance on the field of view. The hologram of the reticle is built into the window and is illuminated by a laser diode.
Regular reflector sights go back to 1900. They work with collimiter though, not holographic principles.
I meant reflex sights in general, that kind of holographic sight wasn't for sure
Pilots used em
Forgive my plebian gun knowledge
Technically a reflex sight is a really broad term encompassing a number of types of sight, but yeah
Lasers though... yeah
Yah, techinically holographic is a type of reflex. I was just meaning reflector sights were the precursor and around for both world wars. Widely used in the 2nd
If you really want to learn about cool history of weapon sights, check out the Norton bomb sight. Technological wonder for the era.
I remember the arguments earlier in development about the sights, I had no idea that they had that tech back then
I thought this was post apocalyptic, but the more I know. Ok... no to the deagle. What about melee? I'm tired of enemies running up to me and smacking me
I mean, it is, but the apocalypse apparently happened when the ww2 weapon set was current. I think there’s a lot that says ‘not our world at all’ as well, but the weapon set has been mentioned specifically by the devs as an artistic choice/limitation.
