Finally unlocked the sniper class and it got very frustrating very fast. Most the time I accidently grabbed the shaft of the Kar98 instead of the bolt letting get the enemy a free shot at me before I could load a new round into the chamber.
An option to use grip for every weapon when reloading would be nice. Even there if you're just slightly off you grab the weapon shaft instead the lever.

Yes but it doesn’t deactivate grabbing the bolt with the grab button, so if you use trigger on the bolt and then hit grab to grab the rifle, sometimes you grab the bolt again. It is super annoying and defeats the purpose of the option to manipulate the bolt with the trigger. If you select the option to manipulate the bolt with the trigger, it should deactivate manipulating the bolt with the grip button completely. Like In the Radius, which has the best gun mechanics out of any game.

Oh that's strange. I don't have that issue, but it might be because of the way I handle the rifle.
My biggest issue is when I try reload fast, I sometimes start pressing the trigger a bit to early and my hand phases through the bolt without grabbing it. Which is quite annoying.

I agree that it should disable grabbing bolts with the grip when enabled, it's a nice fallback but it does make the change pointless if grabbing the handle/bolt while going for the other is the reason you enabled it in the first place.
