The game is very good and very beautiful. Compliments!

However, I have some reservations and considerations:

Italian language:
As for the localization there are some things to review. I'd be willing to review the entire game if you're willing to share the lyrics. My English is bad but thanks to the translator I'm sure I can contribute decisively to improve it.

Gameplay:

  • When you look at the belt (see attached gift) it does not rotate together with the movement of the head, if you look in front of you instead it rotates normally (this can be a problem since picking up the gun is not very immediate)
  • (Personal consideration) I would have preferred the holster and magazines to the right and left of the waist respectively and the objects anchored in different points of the body (e.g. 2 slots on the right and left chest respectively or a little lower)
  • Weapon control is very nice, but I would have expected to be able to move normally when holding the rifle low with both hands, but instead I have to unhook my non-dominant hand to not be slowed down.

I feel the same about all of these points

I agree; the belt not rotating with the head is restrictive and a bit annoying. I've played No Man's Sky a lot, and while the issue isn't as bad here (in NMS a whole screen of information isn't following you...) it makes playing the game just a little less fun. I definitely like the idea of holding your gun down to run, too. Fun game overall.

What do you expect to happen with the belt when you're looking at it and when you're looking forward. Cuz often times when I'm looking at the belt I want to grab something and I don't want it to rotate

But if I'm looking away from the belts I kind of want to be a little bit less stationary cuz I am moving

#

If there's a game that done belt perfectly, I would love to check it out for reference

Given that I would prefer to have only magazines and weapon on the belt as mentioned in the post, if it really has to be so it would be enough to make sure that it rotates even when you look at it

I am playing one version older (my internet is too slow to update the game before I wanted to head to bed tonight), but for me it seemed to only rotate or set back into "place" if I smooth turned.

I played a lot of Payday 2's VR port and while that isn't a great port, I did like that the belt was always oriented with your head. I do a lot of physical turning and theres a lot of looking down in this game to fire at enemies below, to me it just feels off to not have the belt right infront of my face at all times. Lies Beneath is a game I haven't played since it launched, but I remember liking how the belt was done a lot in that game. It's a very fast and frantic game, but I never felt like I couldn't grab what I needed

#

Like I felt like I messed up reloading a few times because I expected the ammo to be in a place it wasn't, since it wasn't oriented to where I was looking. Pavlov also does a pretty decent job but it's not really a belt so much as just attaching things to your body

I love the management of "into the radius" weapons with the difference that here it would be perfect to have only the objects attached to 4 points of the body and weapon and magazines as they are now

#

Here is a detailed example xD

Ok I'll check those out

#

Maybe I'll have them as VR options

Into the Radius has a pretty cool attachment system with things being all over your body. Might there be too many slots in this game for that though? I can't remember but it felt like there was quite a long toolbelt for items that you'd have trouble attaching things to each part of the body

4 item or 2 from double pistol

if I'm not mistaken

I must've miscounted then. Would be cool as an option for sure

Perhaps it would be difficult to know what and where you have stored it, but this could make it more interesting and force you to manage stock well

#

common thing much more important! I want the beta role too 😛

I like it to move in the direction I'm facing as if I was there and the belt was on me and turning with my body. One game I can think of at the top of my head that does this is Lies Beneath; the toolbelt wasn't really detailed, per say, but it works like how I'm talking about. I think Into the Radius is also similar, except in that game you can also adjust the height of the tool belt and there's also a chest belt--might be the thing that OP likes?

Ok I'm going to try and see what's up

Wait I meant After the Fall instead of Into the Radius fml. I confused the names

so the item on the arm?

Mainly agree with the feedback about movement - didn't know why I was moving so slow until I released my gun. But I guess it is only surprising once!

note on the belt stuff: the belt moves when youre not looking at it. the reason it stops moving when you are looking at it, is because people tend to reach to their side as they look down, and when it kept moving you would end up twisting your body in an awkward way as you reached for things to your side

#

its a little confusing i agree, but personally i prefer it how it is now, rather than always moving (especially because i only have vision in one eye and the belt is very wide.. if it moved with my head i couldnt physically see the whole belt ever)

ahh thats a good idea

i think we might kind of have the code setup like that but maybe need to tweak some of the deadzone values and stuff

[Standalone MQ2] The game is really great! I couldn't find anything that I don't like but belt. The belt is very uncomfortable, it should not be so wide. And as already mentioned it should rotate follow your eyes, the great examples Into The Radius, Gun Club VR, The Cabin. All of those titles use different implementation but they are very comfortable.

🙏 thanks, we adjusted a few things with the belt a littel bit on the steam build, so the next quest update should have some of that improvement
