'm probably missing something silly. I have a toggle which should change an emission strength from 0 to 7.

For some reason, when I go in play mode, the emission is set at 0.7 even if the toggle is off. EVEN if I put the value to 0. (So if I activate the toggle it still should stay at 0)

Other toggles are disabled and that's the only one which touches the emission of that material.

Any idea what could be causing this issue?

Gogoloco docs has a whole section on customizing animations, but do be warned its an extremely complex system

I've been having a issue where I added a power / effect on my Avatar by Coogee and the effect automatically activates on my fallback avatar and the displayed avatar in my preview.

People were crashing and having to turn my avatar off. I tried unchecking the effect then reuploading the avatar and that didn't work. Then I tried turning it off completely and that disabled the effect completely. Though my avatar was properly displayed in my preview.

Does anyone know what I'm missing to make sure I can still have the effect and it's not automatically activating when I spawn in a world when people see my fallback?

I've been having an issue where I added a power/effect to my Avatar, and the effect automatically activates on my fallback avatar and not my avatar when it's turned on. I also just see an effect with a ultra small version of my avatar in the avatar details preview.

People experiencing the problem suggested turning off the visibility of the avatar in Unity before uploading, so I deleted my initial uploaded and removed the ID on the avatar and reuploaded. But people still experience the problem with the black box effect still activating.

The only real solution I could figure out is just completely removing the effect / disabling it entirely.

Can anyone help me with this issue?

hey! im working on a toggle right now and i need some help trying to make it work
it has blood and body horror so ill spoiler it
what I want to do is have my avatar to be able to toggle on a spike (where his body is visible and walk around) and one where his body is on the spike (invisible but can walk around) BUT

Different as in it has different setup. This one you shown is definitely for vrm.

Of course vrm and vrchat can actually use "same 3D model". Both just have to have different component in order to build for either platform.

Hello! I was hoping someone could help me tackle this "issue" with my avi.

My avi has a face gesture that occurs when I either rest my thumb on** both Left-A, Left-B or on top of both my Joysticks**, that produces an inappropiate face expression.

  • Deleting and reimporting the textures didnt work; also applies to new textures exported from Substance Painter

Anyone know why this keeps happening? I'm imoprting a model and as soon as I assign the materials from VRC parts of the mesh are going black (Emisions work good, but the base colors won't apply)
Not only that, it works with poyiomi shaders too, just the standard VRC mobile materials that seem to be doing this
(For context this model is ported from Maya to unity as an FBX)

I tried recalculating the outside in blender with shift + n but it didn't change anything, also I checked and it only has a single UV set so... any ideas? (First image is when I apply the "Standard Lite" material. Second image shows only the affected meshes when it has it's default imported materials, before applying the Standard lite)

It's the exact same except for your animation you animate the blendshape instead of whatever they animate in the video

And for the blendshape itself, go into blender, in the vertex data tab add a shapekey. Then select the shapekey, go into edit mode, and edit your mesh. Once you're done, select the basis shapekey and export your model to unity

Hi everyone. I am currently building an avatar and testing it with a headset shows all the proportions out of wack. The avatar stands on tiptoes, arms seem to be too short and yet when I rest my arms fully the elbows point backwards. My main issue currently is that for some reason whenever I tilt my head in any direction the whole body moves with it, and I have absolutely no clue what could cause it or how to fix it. I checked the parenting of all bones twice in blender and unity and it's all fine.
