putting it shortly, i just redid the Rig witch was no problem. but the original problem i think was that the rig was very jank and uneven since I did it on the wrong axis.

should note that the reason why it was uneven is because I had to eye it since symmetrise didnt work.

VRChat is assuming you're crouching, I suspect you'd have to build your own locomotion without that

you guys ever have a problem where you mess with Blendshapes in Unity and they won't save over to VRChat? Usually i'd think this is an animator problem but i have no animations on this avatar at all. Just defaults
You dont have an fx layer at all?
the only time i ever encountered that is when there was something burried in the fx layer
usually its because creators love to create animations that have ALL the blendshapes in the animations and set them to zero except for the blendshape they are executing
Hmmmm, I see. Yeah, i just put the default on for now but even then when uploading the Blendshapes won't staaay. I will try to dig into the FX tho.

My friend found the fix!! With my animations off, it was still technically an animation but it was the blendshape states for the eyes that overwrote it.
ok doing the decal helped but now that i put on the second one as a decal, my body's skin is paper white
really can't help much based on just that
(also there's a poiyomi discord that might be useful)

i completely deleted anything related to crouching and ven removed he locomotion layer. it still slows me don as if im crouching

removing your custom base layer will result in vrchat's default one.
Also I'm not entirely sure you can prevent this either
i even removed he default so here is no loomotion layer available
wait i found out why it turns my skin paper white, it's because the alpha mask is paper white outside of the arms part
if it's a humanoid avatar, a default will be applied when you have none

Heyo, im having some trouble setting up a simple toggle for the glasses on my avi, i (think) ive set up everything correctly and am able to toggle them by changing things around in the Animator.
But when i try to press play the Parameter seems to not care about what i do in the expressions menu

When legs lock on the avatar during full body tracking (leg irl isn't fully extended, but avatar legs are), would moving the avatar descriptor view ball up a little bit help remedy this?

i want to do a dissolve toggle using poiyomi, however when loading in half of my clothes start dissolved and only load in a second after using the dissolve animation i did, however all use the same state machine in the animator. on is none, turn on and off are dissolve and the same played in reverse

i made an avatar last night and the clothing layers clip through each other as well as the body clipping though both clothing layers. any idea how i can fix this?

without any further detail, better weight painting is my best guess
Okay, I have tried quite literally everything. I made it all one material, one texture, changed mesh names, took of the FX, took of the Parameters, took off all bones, all colliders.
Normally she had 29 Materials, all textures were compressed to 1K, she had an idle face animation, tail animation.
She will not for the life of anything pass the VRC Security Checks. Any Ideas?

yeah those are the fingers, i tried enforce t-pose but it didnt work so i assume i have to fix it in blender itself
you can actually reposition those in the rig setup in Unity. not sure that's ideal. Verify all the bones are in the right places, if it thinks it isn't humanoid, usually that's for a reason

Ive never personally ran into security check issues but I think they were introduced to prevent crasher shaders from being utilized
So something may have some type of issue that vrchat sees as a potential problem
I dont think it has to do with your materials or tris
probably a shader you are using is getting flagged

wouldn't surprise me if it's the 60 material slots
I think if it keeps giving you the failed security check you could try contacting vrchat support about it and hopefully they could see if it's just an error

first off you should screenshot it since its nearly impossible to read like this but its not actually registering your model as 1: having 0 triangles is impossible unless you're uploading nothing 2: those errors would prevent your upload

I'm trying to update an avatar, but I had to remake it (which regenerated the blueprint ID) but when I detach the blueprint Id and paste in the old one, it automatically detaches it and clears out the avatar descriptor (Yes, I did delete the old avatar).

Apparently uninstalling VRCFury fixes it? But this avatar NEEDS VRCFury because it uses GoGoLoco
technically you don't need fury for gogo loco

did you mean to link it at the hueshift section of the video or do you mean for material swaps?
So the body has a material/texture, the fluff, and the eyes. I have a few sets of them and I'd like to be able to swap between the sets.
Hueshift would be simpler but confusing to remember which one ends up where, I'd prefer it in a menu and labelled so I can just swap to whichever I want
you might have a better time asking about how you'd set that up in the offical VRCFury discord since most manually make their toggles here but thats likely possible through VRCFury just would need to change "use slider wheel" to whichever one makes it a button toggle option
( also that sounds terrible for the avatar's stats/optimization)

if all of the errors are poiyomi remove your current one (or check if you possibly have duplicates in your project) and re-import a new one/different version
I been running into a issue with a model i got from a friend
I made its components and stuff, set the viewpoint but once I try it in game, the model stretches out and I can't see cause the viewpoint goes to the chest.
I don't know why the model stretches and been stumped from it for 5 days does anyone have ideas or suggestions

That'd be your next step, merging the meshes and rigging the model
but aren't they supposed to be seprate meshes that are parented?
the pillow and the orange are meant to be seprate from the character
if the orange is only going to be held in the hand it can be made through a blendshape toggle, not sure about the pillow though but realistically you want as few seperated meshes as possible
they do all need to be parented under a single armature though yes but merging is better for optimization ranking and in-game performance

Hi, I was editing a model in Blender, specifically editing the FBX to add new clothing. After weight painting, data transfer, etc., when importing and replacing the FBX, I got this error... I followed the exact same steps on other avatars same creator and body base and didn’t have this issue. I’ve attached screenshots for reference

that depends on how many textures you're using

Got it down to medium for PC by removing most extra items and only keeping 5 material set swaps
SDK builder shows no more red, only orange and green, upload it to vrc and vrc says it's still red 😩

if you were exported that model from blender, check export settings (especially Transform>Apply Scallings. it should be set to FBX All.)
Embedded materials cant be accessed. You can either make your own materials or extract the embedded ones on the last page of the fbx import settings
in play mode, what are the red and blue gizmo spheres?
oh, reds are the twist IK's for the arms and legs
yeah, played some anims and I see the IK goals for the wrists/ankles
are blue gizmos root/hips motions?

you want to use a proper shader for your materials that can handle the transparency
note that transparency is not supported at all on quest, but a good shader for pc would be something like poiyomi which indeed supports cutout (opacity) behavior

You must obtain at least "New User" Trust Rank in our Trust and Safety system in order to upload content. You can get this by just spending a few hours in VRChat, hop some worlds, and make some friends. Give it some time and you'll be able to upload content in no time.
As an aside, you must have a VRChat account to upload content. That means you can't use a Steam account, Oculus account, or Viveport account to upload content like worlds or avatars.

yeah, i usually get a ton of those too, i just clear them and ignore since nothing is actually broken

okay, you will want to click on your body mesh which has a section called materials
one of them will contain the eyes, however as i do not own this model, i dont know if other things are also assigned to the same material as the eyes
I imported the textures and I got 5 normal, specular, metalness, glossiness, and diffuse
There was material already made called Suit_Low
i think that is the case cuz what i was trying to say is that there isn't a separate eye material

alright i did it
anyway, this shows me that the eyes are part of the body material. so once youre in scene view, add a prefab to the scene or open a provided scene (depends how this was set up) and uncollapse the body material. it looks like this is poiyomi, so youd need to click unlock shader, then you can drag the texture you want into the albedo slot inside the shader

id say assign your textures into that material and apply the material to your mesh
normal maps go into normal map slot, color into albedo. metallic into metallic and so on. where that is is based on the shader

for some reason my phys bones gravity is completely broken, if i turn it even slightly to negative then it flies up and doesn't come back down, and if i turn it positive it gets stuck pointing straight down, i cant figure out what's going on

I can't post any avatars even pre-made ones becuase my Steam auto-sign in refuses to work on anything not VRChat itself like the website or editor, and i can't use recovery options like "Forgot Password" or "Forgot email" becuase IT WILL NOT send me an Email no matter what and i know my Auto-sign in username and password but on the site and editor it says "Incorrect Username/Passoword"

if you have zero hours you cant upload avatars at all
you need to be new user or above in trust rank.
and to upload avatars at all the account NEEDS a VRChat.com account, that is a requirement.

To be clear AUTO-INTSALLERS DO NOT WORK on my Pc so i for 2 years have struggled until i resorted to brute forcing Manual installs and got a 2019 to work, does this help?

If this is for quest, maybe you have too many physbone scripts which will cause vrc to remove them. If thats the case, the upload screen would notify you about that as warning
play mode shouldn't be affected by that though

I would think you could make just the eyes glow if the head part of the texture was blacked out, though it might be different depending on the shader

okay so I'm having this weird issue where if I activate the toggle I can't deactivate it. Like, I press it and it gets those spinny arrows for a second before they dissapear and when I try pressing it again its as if it's not registering any input

i will say, i did merge the layer controlling this toggle from another controller that has parts that mess with the value of the parameter, but i removed all the layers that would have done anything with the parameter

im having issues with an avatar i made
the clothing and body clip through each other when i wear it and i've heard this has to do wwith the iehgt painting but i have no idea here to go from here
there appears to be no weight painting on any of the meshes
If there were no weight painted then that mesh wouldn't move at all.
oh well it does move its just all the weight painting is blue i mean
All blue would mean weight paints are zero which would make mesh not follow any bone.

Anyone know any physbone settings I can use on my vrchat avatar for cheek pulling? I've tried multiple settings but they all end up just deforming the mesh when I look about despite all settings that would cause movement by the world being turned off.
