Is it just me, or is anyone else having a problem where the quest 2 says that there are "too many avatars" loading, but then when I adjust a setting for the avatars, do a quick shut off and power on, or shut the client off entirely after I reset the cache, it works perfectly fine (and even joining other worlds it either fixes or brings back the problem.)

Considering that the Quest 1 isn't supported anymore and I am not sure if there even is any other way of doing PCVR than Quest Link and Airlink, maybe you can still sideload ALVR to get around the 15-20% performance hit when playing the SteamVR version of VRChat that Quest Link and Airlink has.
But just search up quest link cable on amazon, you will find plenty of other options, can't say whether it will allow your Quest 1 to stay charged though if you go longer than 3 meters/9 feet.
Also for what the Meta cable is, it isn't actually overpriced (long fiber optic while also sending power), it is just that most cables do just work.

I am almost 100% sure that Steam Link doesn't support the Quest 1 at all.
Virtual Desktop does still seem to work, but hasn't gotten any updates in a long while, it is the better solution imo though.
ALVR is I think the last option https://github.com/alvr-org/ALVR and is the only one you even can sideload, which you probably want to do even though it is on the Quest store, since Meta made it impossible to update apps for the Quest 1 some time last year or two. So any app you get off the meta store will be very out of date.

That stuff you show in the screenshot does not matter, that is the speed from your phone to the outside internet (and specifically the amount you pay to have), we only care about the speed your Quest can talk to your PC.
Since your router is next to your PC and you have connected your PC to it with a wire, you have the ideal setup for wireless, where it should only be bad if your router was really bad, which going off the screenshot I doubt.
So uh, TLDR: Yes, your wifi will work.

I use wireless and have a 3 meter/9 foot, cable that I use to keep my Quest charged up, have it connected to a conveniently close by wall adapter.

So what is there demand for for worlds on the quest, I had a few quest worlds made but the world id's were so old they never got traffic.
I got cars, space fighters, toys, gun, boardgames. But i am not exposed very much to the quest community despite owning a quest

The problem with Quest worlds now is that its kind of pointless to go there and be a PC robot. I'm still working on my PC avatar and don't have time to make a Quest version of it. Plus when I try to make a new model, I'll need to make two of them. It's extra work. Also the worlds like the Pug West only support a limited amount of players which doesn't interest me. I like haning out at the regular Pug more.
It's probably going to take just as long for content for Quest like it did for PC. Maybe even longer because some Quest users don't have a PC.
Oh and also PC users that don't own a Quest can't even see what they're working on.

we're currently fighting for making it easier to use pc designed avatars on the quest over on canny - you can see the post here: https://vrchat.canny.io/feature-requests/p/quest-avatar-limits ; the idea is to give quest users more choices on what they want to see
Who knows maybe someday a more powerful oculus vr would come maybe be called quest s that can run bigger worlds and more players xD but that's just a dumb thought lol..
our observation so far has been that poly count isn't a major issue for quest users - relaxing that limitation, or giving them a choice on how many polys per avatar they want to see, could go a long way towards making it easy to port a pc avatar over
and such a solution would have extensibility towards the future as more "quest-like" hardware comes out. dividing between pc and quest is silly, it should be pc and 'mobile' where 'mobile' has a wide variety of settings to choose from for fidelity and performance (something we should have on pc too of course)

Has anyone encountered an issue on quest where when loading into another map, sometimes you can't even see some of the quest users in the map, or their location is stuck at spawn ignoring where they actually are?
I've had that issue happen constantly, but I don't know if it happens in general or if it happens specifically with me and a friend
sometimes we hop on our quests to explore quest maps, and usually my friend would go into the portal first
and i'd estimate 50% of the time i'd load into the map and i either cannot see him, or he is stuck at spawn for me, and i'd have to rejoin the map to fix it
from his perspective he can see me fine when i can't see him, but he cant hear me

Got my Quest yesterday, got some time to play around with it
Titles like Robo recall really have me fixating on the sheer difference in quality requires between this and PC; blurry textures, missing effects -and after a lot of optimization for a title that size so I've been told
Been using it for Netflix and Youtube so far; passthrough is beautiful, incredible it works so well. Tried some beatsaber, saber effects and slashing effects reduced which I'm surprised was necessary -but all the same game
Can see the restricted legroom plainly in Robo Recall, and anyone working with it in Unity has made the sheer restriction clear; worried a little just how much performance legroom will hold things back if popularity picks up
More graphically minimalistic titles are right at home

May be because of networked IK; if the stream of data is too much (no reason to assume this is the case for the quest, although maybe?), or the stream is interrupted briefly (then having to resync). - something of the sort. Not experience breaking, but been consistent.
