I take advantage of thr Bestbuy product replacement program. If you buy their warranty at time of sale you can replace it for no questions asked for the same value as when you purchased it. Or you can get a gift card for the value and apply it to something else, in this case, the Q3.

If you want? It'll allow you to play steam vr games but size isn't an issue. Those are stored on your PC, your headset Is nothing more than a viewing device when on pcvr and doesn't store much of anything on board.

I recommend getting a small fan that blows on it while playing. Keeps you and the headset cool while also helping you get your orientation correct in your room.

Depends. If you use a cable to connect to your PC it'll mostly keep your headset charged as you play, any drain. Would be slow. If you do wireless, it'll drain much faster.

Oh and Pico will release leg trackers that are better than a full slimevr setup while costing less than a 100 bucks. there's already a dev kit which works good with PCVR

That's a separate issue entirely then. Steamvr should he able to detect your basestations first.

Also the generative legs can't be seperated at this time (said by Meta directly) and probably not for the forseeable future on the current hardware (my speculation as generative legs was said to have been in development a very long time for the current iteration). No crazy shuffles yet.

Some one should tell the person that made vrc to make a face tracking compatible with no pc for quest cause I have a quest pro that as face tracking. But I don’t have a pc… and it doesn’t work for just the quest.

Not gonna happen any more than handtracking is natively supported on PC. It needs the PC capabilities to do the processing. At this time

They had one for eyes at least, but then unfortunately it turns out that less than 2 digit people used that version and it causes severe performance problems just having the face tracking SDK in the game (blame Meta).
Might come back whenever Meta releases a new headset with face tracking, so not literally less than 2 digit people use the work they put into it.

VRchat doesn't natively support face tracking of any kind, it however does support OSC for controlling avatar parameters, and has endpoints for eye tracking that were originally used for the quest pro, but were removed due to performance issues on the quest 2, getting face tracking to work on standalone at this point is up to the community to make work, not VRchat, and would probably require meta to allow you to run background apps in addition to VRchat on the quest pro (so you could sideload an APK for instance to run it)
