Likely just a glitch on the network. I've had that happen to me in the past, I just needed to wait and it sorted out pretty quickly. Can try clearing your cache and restarting your headset as well.

That's to be expected. If you have an active cable, then it'll charge better, but if you have a cable that is rated for data and power transfer up to the allowed for your headset, it'll always remain with a positive net charge so you shouldn't have to worry about charging it or it dying while plugged in.

quest 3 is good price/performance imo, if bought new, compared to other headsets, excl pico 4/quest 2 depending on what one really wants, if I compare it over a period of 2 years (my warranty period) it costs just a little more than my mobile subscription(22.5eur/m for the quest 3, over 2years for me, mobile is 20), everything's expensive these days, most, incl me, find it worth the money though

I have everything sorted on this end i just need a longer cable.. i dont think 5m will quite cutt it.. have found a company recently but i have never heard of them before.. and the reviews are abit iffy at best.

My transfer speeds are:

I will be fine with these ports as the mobo is built for VR also the usb ports are customizable through the bios, the bios also recognizes the device id's and is fully capable of automating the process, but i will still more than likely tweak them, we will see how it plans out.

Your ports aren't thr problem, it's the cable. The official link cable is 5Gbps. If you csnt/won't get one of those then get an active cable with the same transfer speed.

Battery strap is also possible but depends on play time but powerbank one can just switch out afaik no quest 3 straps with replacable batteries are capable of delivering the power a quest 3 needs (bobovr has one but can't reach the power a quest 3 needs, should make it drain slower though but still)

You need an accesspoint not a router, an accesspoint you can also hang up in your play area if possible

Oh i do have an access point but my true access point isn't setup the way most are.. i use mobile internet and the router itself is in the attic, with a polarized Directional antenna connects to a mast only 4 miles away from my location, (everyone else round here cannot even get past adsl 2.0)
Anyways.. basically we run a 100ft cable from the attic and outside and hooked up into the eaves its full weather proof, then heads into my location which heads into the router, and all the router does is lan/wan for incoming connection, everything else is just split from the router, only reason i use it is for wireless functionality phone etc, and yes the master box that being a mobile carrier is located too far away this was the best option i had to work with, i have 100/100 straight and my ping is excellent, but the router itself is limited with 5G as its a few years old now, if i did not use the router a network switch with a wireless interface would also work.

Im simply using EE, but the mast im connected too is such a short distance away and also there's hardly anyone round here using it to its full potential.. i used so many cellmapping apps and tracked data being sent from a too in order to get the correct facing location, band 3 is great at 1800mhz providing you have no building obstructions, tree's too but they do not absorb radio waves as much as buildings.. i have a bungalow here its sitting on top.. i used google earth to trace the verticle fields as the mast tower itself sits ontop of a field completely blocked from view.
Had to also install an earth to the mast as well.. if it did get struck by lightning and we never had that it would be game over for the house and the hardware, lol.

Not 5G as such in this area its LTS which is a mixed band between 3G/4G or also known as 4G+ so 100/100 is roundabout the max in terms of datarate as of right now, when there is a 5G mast within atleast 40 miles of my location i will be connecting to that instead, as long as it outputs 2100 or 2300+ then im good, my current sim and my main router in the loft fully supports it already, and like the network states we dont have to pay anything extra, its literally already capable i just need to point in the right direction.

max range of this antenna is 75 miles believe it or not.. and i can also mount a quad.. so another x3 of them, each of them benefit each other.. not like omni-directional as that pulls off all masts surrounding you in a 360 arc.

Gotcha, well.. i have gone through all the headsets Wired wise, and although i do not honestly like the quest much my issue is mainly down to how vrchat works in regards to unity and certain shaders etc.. but figured if i just ran it wired i would be fine.. and content i do upload in the future will no doubt be on both platforms as keeping in pc only would not really bennefit my worlds one bit due to so many questies running around nowadays.

As mackandelius said, download a phone app to measure ipd. I used one called GlassesOn and compared it to my glasses prescription, and it was very close. Super simple to use. Worth a try

You'd need a cable that supports 5Gbps transfer speeds. But make sure it actually does it.

sometimes it is out of your control depending on how well optimized a world is. the main culprit is often you having every avatar in the instance on, if everyone is running around with low performing avatars that will contribute to lag. turn off every avatar to begin with, and manually turn on avatars you actually want to see, or that of your friends.

if you are on standalone, which if you are in this channel, is what im gonna assume. You can use SlimeVR, Micopi, or something camera based. though the camera stuff is known to have some level of jank associated with it.

Holy crap my IPD range just barely passes over the max range of the Quest 2
It’s saying my range is 72 mm
The Quest 2 can do up to 70 mm
So I do have to keep the lenses maxed far apart
So then wtf I keep seeing double vision after a VR session?
