I just walk lol. If I'm going deep into a nature zone with no services, or a night hike, I tend to bring full kit from when I was in the military, vest, rifle, pistol, radio, med kit, nods, etc. I'm pretty good with land nav from my time in as well so I normally memorize land features and trails as well as pace counts and just head out. Hard to get lost so long as you have that, the sun, or the stars n moon. In white out or harsh conditions in winter ya have to be more careful though since you can't see the trail and a misstep means death, but I've made it so far lol.

Nah. Almost never do. I memorize satellite terrain features and pace counts before hand. That with the moon/stars and sun I can always navigate just fine we're I intend on going. I carry a radio and program the local repeaters which I would use for emergencies.
Easy enough to provide coordinates over a radio. If I'm unable to do that it means I'm basically dead and so be it. If I die out there I'd have no regrets or care lol.

there isn't a way to do that, but you can permanently solve it by buying a small can of electronics lubricant and spraying it into the thumbstick units, you will have to pry off the black bit of the controller and pull of the thumbstick plastic bit to spray it into the thumbstick unit, otherwise you'll be wasting a ton of the material and making your controllers slippery
