Reset the programs. start by running IFMC, and write the IP it gives you down. There will be no port.
Start VSF.
Select ANY camera, it doesn't matter. IP and port don't matter here.

They -have- to be on the same network, if your PC is plugged into your modem and not your router, or you have a very weird router/modem this may be an issue, but it should be generally ok.

Common exmaples of issues w/ this are in dorms, they almost always have the wifi on it's own thingy.
