yea i get it. if the earbuds are too big or don’t fit right it can be quite annoying. the reason i use the specific earbuds i do is because their shape makes for a flat profile on my head (they don’t really stick out.) i too am on the spectrum and have minor sensory issues from time to time but the feeling of sleep paralysis and wanting to avoid it far outweighed the minor discomfort at first.

There's active USB cables, that basically repeat the signal, just like with hdmi, but for longer extensions you'd need a powered cable to reliably extend the signal from what I read
