You only need to feed the bottom-right lab with science packs and it'll distribute
Was kinda hard to tell from the picture
There's a new in-game tutorial that's pretty helpful. I learned a good bit of new stuff from it like the fact that you could just do that with labs to begin with
Would recommend fast inserters with that setup though.
It'll basically interrupt a lab that's researching until the top-left is satisfied and then drip its way down to the whole bank being full
Alternatively, you can split the science up and feed then into multiple of the furthest right labs to avoid the interrupting a bit quicker
It's essentially the thundering herd problem with the labs
Same one that we run into when VRChat has an api outage and now suddenly 30k people are trying to login at the same time and it grinds the database to a halt, but instead of throttling resources to not kill it again, you just throw more in different spots
There's a lot of interesting parallels with Factorio vs distributed systems design for backend stuff like VRChat or any other big service with tons of moving parts and thousands of things to manage
Perhaps we should have a [ ] Plays Factorio checkbox to our application for Server Engineers lmao

Since after a while the interserters aren't fast enough
You can put productivity modules in your labs too btw :)

You put all the science onto one belt using a N-to-1 balancer. Then loop back the belt into the input with the input being priority. Add some buffers to keep the ratio of science packs on the loop flexible
