They're a rarity in public instances. Many of the 18+ users of VRchat are in private instances mainly to avoid the minors (both 13+ and those under 13).

You can try to find a community on discord of more mature people then go to their events or get into a friend group within that community, but you’ll be pretty limited to those people I guess and some of these communities go to pc only worlds but a lot of them do try to make it available to quest users.

Going off by me which I got trusted in like 500 but the numbers significantly vary between the user

I wouldn't be surprised if the system randomly makes users gain trust rank slower or faster than the avarage person in order to make it more difficult to crack the system

Honestly if you play on pc just go to pc on worlds of you really cannot stand kids there are barely any there. As for groups I’d say no I go to the meroom every day and there’s always individuals to talk to or conversations to be had. You honestly just have to go out there and try.

I’ve been playing everyday 2 months consecutively and that’s not including before I took a 2 month break, I’ve put thousands of hours in this game yet I still don’t have a dedicated friend group, and not a lot of people even join or remember me I have a couple great friends and that’s it. Yet I still have lots of fun exploring new worlds, meeting new people, and just relaxing. Yes there are a crap ton of kids in the game and I can see why they may be annoying for others, but you don’t have to be around that there’s other ways to make this game fun and find likeminded people to chill with again it’s up to you to just go out there and try.
