Quest 2 plus a Link cable is 379 total, with an experience that is honestly on the high end of PCVR visuals. There are downsides, but the cheap entry fee more than makes up for it.

Just make sure your PC has a USB-C port. They aren’t super common.

And yeah, you need a Facebook account.

Unity is not for making models

#

Just to upload them and add assets

Plus you don't have to deal with FB at all with a G2.
For VRChat you may want to see if you can use a regular pair of WMR controllers with the G2 since it's unclear how well the G2's thumbstick-only no-capacitive controllers will work with vrchat regarding movement and gestures.

If you use the quest in a wireless mode you can only see quest worlds and avatars. You can not see PC avatars at all unless you connect your quest to an PC. This does mean you need a good enough PC to run the quest.

Heat is plenty transparent on how it works. When I update a world of mine and can see people are in it, heat goes up. The next few days after it's no longer on the recently updated list and fewer people are there, it goes down. Makes perfect sense.

Rigging it would be completely pointless.
If the devs want to highlight a world, they put it in spotlight which is directly hand picked. There's no need, rhyme or reason to rig a simple activity algorithm.

Yeah they changed the clipping plane. My small avatar now completely breaks the menu and kinda softlocks people if they use it. Was completely fine before.

Actually I have found it hard to sometimes find avatars from older stuff... but sailor moon is so huge, idk, there's gotta be stuff of it
