well the best you can do is report your account being forced into to VRchat and hopefully they can do something about it. Or at the very least suspend that account incase said person uses it maliciously. hopefully the latter doesn't need to be the case

Not really been in games with mods and people using them. The only time I've really noticed them ban people is for if they are using it for malicious use. Been here for 3 years to notice this.

I know people that have been banned for "ban evasion" when they've never been banned. However, if they were to enforce everyone getting banned for clients I would approve, no matter how "wholesome" it is.

Same. Clients bring good things to the game that should be there, like certain safety measures and multiplayer dynamics, but there's enough cancer involved with them that we should just wait for vrchat to implement those features themselves.

This review is like, yeah the strap sucks... which oculus has a higher quality versions available them self at a extra chage. Quest 2 is default cheap so be it.
Controller tracking is hard to say by one person, some reviews could say it's bad others it's better.

I find it’s most reliable when I just use my middle ring and pinky in unison and then the detection is perfect, but, that’s exactly what touch controllers do anyway

And man touch controllers were more comfortable to hold like I get that you can let go of the controllers but gripping them just does not feel as nice. Touch just fits inside your fist perfectly, doesn’t feel like holding anything. Index are just a big bar

Can anyone help me with my controls, using vive with whatever the standard controllers are that come with it. Everything works fine but my right controller won’t do the important stuff that’s expected of it like let me jump or turn, according to the binds, up on the touch pad should jump, with left and right turning. It just does the standard hand gestures but refuses to turn or jump.

So I I did not know where to put this so I put it here. So I have a quest and link cable for my pc and the pc I’m running is hp gaming pc with ryzen 7 2700, rx 580 4gb mini, 400watt power supply, 16gb ram, 128GB m.2 Ssd and 1tb HDd, it a prebuilt so it not upgradeable much, no extra fans can fit in there as well. The graphics card is not overclocked either.
The problem I’m having the gpu overheating meaning when I play vrchat it’s ramps up to 90C and sometimes a burning smell coming from it.
So my question what is the best setting to best optimize the link cable both in game and in amd Radeon settings as well?
This would be much appreciated in the comments below

@mental sky i'd recommend underclocking the card to help the temps out, lower the voltage slightly and core clocks slightly as the rx580 is memory bandwidth limited. download msi afterburner to do so

you can always order a $5-6 fan off amazon and add it to your pc right on your gpu to help with the temps, or lastly, upgrade from a 580 as that card is definetly pushing the limits of working well with vr

It shouldn't smell like burning tho, make sure there is no big dust build up or other things that shouldn't belong into the card.

if i recall correctly, the rx580 has had multiple reports of smelling like something is burning. that or the 5600? but anyways, just add more fans to help alleviate the heat.

You need to get the oculus app. Then you need to plug in a usb 3 cable into the headset and computer. Put the headset on and press deny if a message comes up. If you press Allow you need to unplug the usb cord and replug it back in. When prompted to Enable Oculus Link (beta), select Enable to begin remote rendering using Oculus Link.

don't use the command line/github tool. use the free OVR advanced toolkit

@lilac knot usually matters don’t need legal courts, issues can be solved domestically, for example, the person who had the content stolen can file a DMCA to VRChat, and they will in turn delete the content off your account for you, make you unable to upload, or ban your account. That way courts don’t need to be involved. YouTube works the same way.

If you felt the DMCA was false, you could counter-file, and only then would a court need to become involved.

Because a mod for a different game had the same process name as a vrchat client, it showed in my game activity, and I was banned over it lol. I.. guess I can see the rationality with it? But not entirely, hecc I was doin a solid snore when I was banned.

Missing the cringe that is vrchat, at the same time tho forces me to mess around in unity a lot more

Asking here because there does not seem to be much in the Quest channels. Did we ever get a conclusive answer on if the Quest 2 will have a higher accessibility to PCVR content on VRChat standalone (Not connected by link?). I understand that the devs will want to keep a certain level of limitations in place for Oculus Quest 1 users, but it seems many games on the Oculus Store (like Walking Dead Saints and Sinners) will already be distinguishing between the two headsets and changing their limitations and requirements based upon which you are using.

I am having a weird problem. Only like 2 avatars will load for me that are mine, and when i head into a world it'll instantly put me into the world, but when i head out it'll either load up to 100% and stay there forever or say 0.00 bytes forever. If I try to head into my home, or default home, it'll do the same thing, so I have to restart VRChat every single time. Anyone know how i can fix this?
