What happens is that the preview shows you the avatars preview which likely is taken from a PC avatar, if it does not have a quest version it'll be the robot with a picture on it.

while I absolutely see the point in the index vs vive discussion I personally wouldn't say that the vive is absolutely horrible. I personally prefer amoled over lcd (the refresh rate is a valid point though. 90fps is okay, but could be better).
And if you can get a vive for a decent price it's actually okay (the $1.4k is too much, I agree with that)

I got sick on the quest with virtual desktop. Once I started using the charge cable and added a VRPower for weight distribution I stopped feeling ill. So I don’t think it was the refresh rate just general discomfort

I know that. The finger tracking feels finicky and jittery and I’d prefer if I could just enable pose detection and make it act like oculus controllers. And even then Oculus’ were more comfortable

Hey guys so I just got into VR chat with my new VR Oculus rift CV1 and when ever I try to load into a world that has lots of people and is bigger then 20mb I lag so much that everything starts to glitch I’m not sure if it’s because I don’t have enough ram or if I need to update my graphics card or if I need to change some setting I meet the minimum requirement for oculus rift CV1 which is GTX1050 and 8gb+ ram which is tue exact specs in my PC I have 8gb of ram and a GTX 1050 graphics card and my processor is an i7 4790 so do I need more ram and better graphics to play and load on big world??

But I can talk with total strangers in vrchat. And that just because I know that they are actual strangers, and if I don't want to ever meet them again I can totally manage that! For me personally it's somehow the only way to really talk to people ^^ So depending on the way your social anxiety shows it can actually be fricking helpful

What I want to say is that anticheat seems a bit too much, as all of it can be directly addressed in the game itself

I get echos points and the others points as well. Cheating in other games is also modification of the games files to provide an advantage in those games. The advantage might be different, like being in control of the world, ect.

I once had a person very panicky in vr because they didn’t know how to quit the game. There was no way to quit the game. A way to quit was not added. You just take off the headset. Yet they were paralyzed with fear that they need to quit the game first.

You presumably need to play the game in a normal manner with your VRChat account, walking around, meeting people and also making some friends. Idling won't help.
According to many responses in this discord, a rough estimate would be ** 20-40 hours**, but big exceptions are possible.
Make sure you are not using a steam or oculus account and continue playing the game until you get a notification or e-mail.
