does anyone know how i can make it so my avatar actually sits when i physically sit on the ground, for the sit/lay animation rather than crouching i have to physically lay on the ground so i assume it has something to do with head position or boundary position. I also cant touch my avatar's hands all the way to the ground, my physical floor stops my controllers from continuing to the in-game ground/floor.
my in game real height is set to match my irl height, 5'7" and i use a wmr Samsung Odessy Plus

i believe the floor part is simply due to how the game deals with the avatar's proportions
as for sitting, unless you have full body tracking you're pretty much only able to either find an avatar with a sitting emote or just sit down, switch to seated mode, and use an ingame chair
even with full body, ive found that sitting is kinda wonky but i know others who are able to make it work

if u have the model the viewpoint ball make it higher
if not then scale down your in game height down or up until you can sit without the model laying flat this is different for most models and u can try fixing space height as well in ovr advanced settings

here's an interesting issue. My gf is on occulus. we're in the GTA map. for her, everything is perfect, for me, on my index, I can't pick up objects and i have the death filter permanently stuck

Yup, the steamvr version is broken. Desktop and occulus it works just fine as intended but if you have an index or vive everything is broken

When people asked what he was saying sorry for, he replied, "You'll see when my avatar loads. I'm just trying to find someone." Followed by one of the most obnoxious global shader/audio spawn in effects I've seen yet. More than one person crashes from it.
After it eventually ends, he's still trying to find this person, and actually explains that he's "an assassin for his gang" trying to find someone on a KoS list to crash them, and that this person was added to this list "for crashing innocents".
Was so many looping layers of stupid with everything he said.

Yes and no, some performance stuff isnt related to loading the avatar. Where other things that are not connected to the avatar performance ranking have a lot to do with loading
You can be excellent ranked with a couple of 8k uncompressed textures for example

The expensive cable is longer, will charge and play at the same time, and since the default cable can now transfer clear data, maybe they can will be able to push even higher quality through the expensive one later

It doesn't quite work like that. VR Headsets use precision controllers that track in a 3d space, where as Wii controllers don't have any positional tracking and only know things like the rotation or if you're shaking the controller

A kinect does do full body track, and the downside to that is you can't turn around and be tracked. Where as if you have the lighthouses you can use the trackers and be tracked turning around.

I think vrchat is a great place to meet new people. And dont be afraid to talk to anyone. It can be daunting, but most of the time, nothing you can say or do will lower your reputation. Ive met soo many good people in this game that has got me through some tough times.
And there are people that will try to hurt you, but a nice thing vrchat has that the real world doesnt have is a block button. Very nice :D
