Becoming verified by the trust system is based on reaching a not time based trust score, which's exact algorithm is unknown to prevent exploitation.

You presumably need to play the game in a normal manner with your VRChat account, walking around, meeting people and also making some friends. Idling won't help.
According to many responses in this discord, a rough estimate would be ** 20-40 hours**, but big exceptions are possible.

Make sure you are not using a steam or oculus account and continue playing the game until you get a notification or e-mail.

What's even the point of mods? Is it just for hacking and being a jerk, or is there something actually useful you can do with them?

Too many mods claim to be harmless or official. And people spread it around that's they're fine to use since many are "non malicious" and just "add features".

A problem is many of those mods can still do more harm than good, even to the person who is using them. And using mods the bypass limits that were sent intentionally "because I know better than the devs", imo can be considered malicious, even if people think it's not harming anyone

I think for game-worlds such as murder 2, 3, etc, until StarLink is rolled out with their laser communication system, they need local servers, so users can acceptably play with a little more region locking in those specific worlds without huge lag.

all content from now on should be uploaded with unity 2018 yes. but unity 2017 content is supposed to work for the most part. some stuff will inevitably break and often there isn't much that can be done if the original uploader doesn't update their content themselves.

"half the game" isn't broken, very few people comparatively are experiencing issues, as usual with updates like tihs

Like you're just objectively wrong. Movie worlds work, in fact I've joined in on a few. "Half" the VRC worlds aren't broken and the ones that are need a reup, it's a Unity version update and there's absolutely nothing they can do about worlds breaking whatsoever even if they worked on the update for 5 years. That's just not how it works

Most content just needs a simple reupload.

VRChat on Quest is very broken. I crashed 3 times in around half an hour. 2 black screens and one complete game termination, all in worlds with almost no people (and even less shown avatars).

Trying to go to the Black Cat on Quest actually outright kills VRChat now, as in the entire program terminates before the map even loads, which is... interesting.

#

So yeah, looks like all the people complaining about it since 2018 dropped weren't exaggerating. Coincidentally performance (which I would assume would have been better) also appears to be worse, so that's not ideal.

The interesting thing about the black screen bug is you can still hear people and people can still hear you, but there's absolutely no video display at all.

You're running out of VRAM too by the sounds of it, I've been having that on my desktop, I keep capping out at 11GB VRAM used which is insane (2080 Ti). But yeah, the Quest blackscreen issue is killing them.

It's a known issue, we had this problem during the meetup and it seems to only happen to the master of the world.

There's also the chance of the master crashing if they're speaking and there's a large group of players nearby.

2 check if you got any downloads running in the background.

Good news though if you’re on quest you can make it work with minimal crashing. It’s best to limit numbers in rooms 2-4 people (avoid public rooms). Friends only rooms seem to work well. Some worlds just wont work or load. Don’t go through portals. Be aware of which avatars will crash you. Use the basic ones for now.

I’m hoping that these updates will lead to better things. Like being able to use cool avatars and not have them crash us. Being able to go to any room. Being able to use cameras. I’m hoping all that happens soon!
