I have a DK2 and CV1, borrowed a quest with oculus link. it's way sharper than CV1 and no delay. i'm sure Rift S is even better, and nothing can compare to index, still, Quest+Link was a straight upgrade over Rift CV1

Try pressing Ctrl \ as soon as you start loading in. That's the hotkey to reset your avatar. Or if you have a vrchat.com account you can do that on the website

The algorithm favors public uploads and doing different things. IE having friends adds trust but there's less of a change from 2000-3000 friends vs 100-500. Obviously I'm speculating since no one actually knows but the devs

It’s an early access game. Expect exploits in public. I’m not justifying it I’m just saying that sort of thing is just par for the course in UGC games of this nature.

It’s understandable if that’s not something you like it you don’t find it ideal, because no, it’s not ideal. But it’s not going to change. That’s just how these kinds of games always are. When you let users make content to such a unlimited capacity they will be able to crash others. It just happens. Accept that as par for the genre or don’t but please constant complaining is just a waste of everyone’s time.

As far as avatar theft goes it should not be dead easy but huge effort should not be put into stopping it because it ultimately cannot be stopped

If the thought of someone else using your model illegitimately would send you into a fit of depression or rage well. Just don’t put it an online game. Period.
