It's actually very easy to detect a crasher with the appropriate tools, a client md5 hash check would work since they would need a modified client to do so.

Remote attestation isn't just running a hashsum though. Otherwise the client could just send back bogus hashes. Probably less work to fix the bugs that cause crashes than making a secure remote attestation system. @snow wadi

I mean coming up with a fairly organized ingame GM system really wouldn't be that hard if it was aimed at just publics, a lot (not talking just lewd) goes on in friends+ that, while it could technically be rulebreaking, there's often different social norms due to the group.
Only having them in publics also mitigates one of my main issues with ingame GMs, which is the idea that since it's a social game, personal grievances can come into play as far as who to not moderate seeing as nepotism already comes into play for the same thing

While I quickly learned you need to set that up as a new user, it does feel like maybe they need to think about making that a default setting. A lot of total newbies logging into their first worlds who are less familiar with what the options mean, might not stick around if they are just getting their view shut down, they might even assume it's just a janky broken game and not delibrate trolling.
'Trusted' users it was enabled for when i first played, and despite the title 'trusted' users seemed to be the ones most likely to be abusing it. I'm still not even sure how to set something like that up.

The issue there is that your avatar's body proportions don't match your own. The best you can get is to change your height in-game so that you're not on tip-toes or stood with your legs bent.
Ideally you make an avatar with roughly the same proportions as yourself which would then not have the issue.

It's the avatar proportions. Almost every avatar is like that that's cartoon or anime. Ones like x or y bot are more realistically proportioned
best you can do is change your real user height, depending on the avatar i have to set my "real user height" to 5"0 - 5"10 for the floor to sync up properly.
There are some programs like Playspace mover or Advance VR that makes things easier to line up.

To get it to update, open the menu and WAIT
Don't touch anything. First the social will update, then friends, then groups. If you do anything, the process will interrupt and it won't refresh.
It's worked fine for me since I've done that. You can see each row update as it happens.

Wait, when I said black and white, I meant more like monochrome, like on old TVs. If an avatar animation turned things monochrome for a couple seconds, would I be fine if I don't spam it, or would that still annoy people?

Unless they specifically want to see it and are fine with it I wouldnt do it
Please be keep in mind that some users are pretty sensitive to that and might get sick if you mess with their vision

I wish there were instructions on how to use different avatars. Some avatars, I just don't know how to trigger certain animations, but end up triggering them when I don't mean to
Like I end up failing to use some animation when pressing a button, yet when I lightly half press it it suddenly works
