So, there is a lot to consider when you look at this. Location, Country, type of connection (copper or fiber), ISP, the jumps from you to the server. Web browser ect.
Wouldn't matter if you had 10mb or 100mb connection, if the path between you and the server (photon in this case) is bade then it can disconnect you

Difficult to do, especially since avatars have many different animations and gestures and objects to be toggled and particle systems, etc. They can barely profile avatars stats in the SDK, no way they're going to run simulations on unity packages in real-time

Well, avatar IK and the sound system adds an overhead, and the models are likely loaded in memory. But besides that, it's just horrible avatars and worlds

Acoustic treatment doesn't really help with much when it to transmission between rooms - it just isolates + helps dampen sound reflections within the room!
Something easy that might help you more is to seal off any openings between the rooms (like sealing the door with some weather stripping, etc.) @finite kraken

If I go away and come back, my controllers and feet (full body) swap place. When starting VRC my right controller sometimes unpairs itself, and I need to restart, which requires me to start all the trackers again. When I finally get tracking, everything works except my left foot, which is in the correct position half the time at best π€

But from my use of a couple of different ones.... The Dell Windows Mixed Reality headset has the best as far as color, no pixelation, no goggle vision, no screen door effect... The vive has larger controllers, and is a pain to put on- what makes mixed reality 'mixed reality' is the hinge that allows you to take the eyes off for a min without taking off the headset; what sucks about it is that you have to use the lights so the cameras on the front can locate your computer's camera so that the bluetooth syncs.... The vive is only convenient for the ease of use, but doesnt have the quality that dell and microsoft has.
