You can merge your accounts once you make a vrc account

It's in the settings when you're logged in with steam, you can see the link button next to the logout button

And it'll transfer your friends and things

Tho some misconception here, steam accounts can also rank up anyway

what chat would you go to for help on making an avatar? I've looked at a lot of videos, but I'm still having problems. A lot of models I can't find, but the one's I do find (like skull kid or pre-rigged glitchtrap, which I've seen glitchtraps being used) don't work because of 'low performance' or my poly count is usually always 2147483647 or around the number. When you upload an avatar, you can chose to make it public or private (it's private by default). If you set it to public, it can be cloned. In game you also can disable cloning in your settings even if the avatar is public

I used to run GTA IV on an old 2012 Macbook w/ Bootcamp, and it ~kind of~ worked fine. Ran GTA V on the trashcan Mac Pro, and that required modifying AMD's drivers to even get playable frame rates. I like to imagine the newer Macbooks could handle VRChat spec-wise

I basically have a VR exit routine which is put the HMD down with the front facing my window to prevent sunlight ever shining through the lenses, plug controllers in to charge and plug trackers in to charge. I just have a bunch of USB chargers on a power strip in the corner of my room.

all in all i have about 12 auto replies since ive been too lazy to sign out of other emails while reporting, they're spread out

and at least 4 or 5 have follow ups

mostly the "thanks for reaching out" since i didnt ask a question or anything, but i imagine if i did they'd have something

because the two times i did add a question or had a very big report due to it being a large issue, they were replied to with a real response after the auto reply

Stopping them completely is probably impossible, but the harder you make it for people, the fewer issues you have. That's why there's so few people with avatar-based crashers compared to before. because it's almost completely a waste of time with the ability to block shit from strangers

its not a matter of how long it takes but just a matter of how much and how well you play the game
ranking up is determined by a number of different factors, such as what worlds you join, how many friends you make, hhow much time you spend around people or worlds, etc... but nobody really knows for sure.
if you afk in one spot youre never going to rank up
but if you just enjoy the game and talk to people, you can rank up to New User in as fast as 3 hours. no promises, though - most rank-ups to New User take on average 20 hours of activity
