Vrchat servers are behind cloudflare anti-ddos, and cloudflare correctly detected a ddos attempt and flagged everyone's IPs.
Half the internet is protected by cloudflare and not all services are configured to allow flagged IPs to solve captchas for service, and thus you are effectively locked out if flagged.

You won't get Banned for using a VPN infact the VRC Team Encourage the use of VPN's due to the IP exploit going around.
I recommend myself RAWVPN its cheap and won't slow you down. There are free VPN's out there but normally they come with adware and very slow servers.

@ember ermine it will fix it only if your IP is dynamic to a point when it changes on the router disconnect. Not the case for me, for me it stays the same

nah, it depends on your ISP.
It just means that ISP changes your IP when it runs out of its own pool.
Basically means that your ISP's pool of IP address is large. Some ISPs make it so you will be assigned new IP on every network disconnect to mitigate the small IP pool

But simply saying vrchat did a backflip on teeth, cloudflare thought the users are bots that spam like ddos or something, and the IPs got flagged, resulting in you seeing captcha verification on many websites
They solved it because of ISP and dynamic ip. In my case i might just have to wait for like 1h more till my IP changes
