I was wondering if its possible to "enable" phantom sense, if u didnt have it before at all, and i guess u can somehow but- is it always hard to do, or it can be super easy for one and super hard for other? What could you do to "enable" it? Some worlds in VRchat? Videos? Someone irl that would have to touch your arm for example as on some video?

I think phantom sense is like your mind expecting to feel what it sees, but when it does happen, you get a slight feeling like your mind is trying to fill it in. for me, i don't feel it if someone touches my arm in vr or something. But if someone touches my face in vr, i definitely feel something. or at least like pressure or tingling where i expect the feeling to come from

The report system needs more options I was trying to report someone that had a modded client they were teleporting people and spawning portals underneath players

Depends.
If i crouch, and jump irl and press jump at the same time. It syncs up and looks decent. If you just jump irl but don't jump in game, you start to leave your body. If you jump irl with full body tracking, than your avatar will jump in game too and it matches your movements

Vrchat always requires a specific version of unity. It’s never the latest version and they will announce when you should and to which version. If unity itself says an update is available, never accept it.

I apologize if this is the wrong place to put this but two friends of mine got ddos'ed tonight, the people who ddos'ed them were even bragging about it saying its ok because my friends were "harassing women" (which wasn't the case, they were just going in publics making jokes, and the vod from this stream can prove it)
It wasn't a simple crash, both the guy streaming in the clip and his friend British Maniac got their internet cut off completely for a while.
Many people that I know, including me, are scared of streaming or simply entering public worlds because of these type of people that can easily pull a switch and mess people up, so can we get these guys banned? At least the people bragging about it in the clip, because this is messed up.

Any good place to post about finding more people to hang out with in VRChat? I thought about the subreddit but thought this would be a better place to ask. I've been getting into VRChat more, but without being able to talk to people offline since there isn't a messaging system in or integrated to VRChat, finding people that are online is kind of hard. And not every lobby has people who actually want a re-occurring friend or buddy. It's cool to meet new people here and there, but it'd be nice to have a few people I can hang out with regularly too.

If it is somehow the avatar causing it, ctrl+\ will locally force you into a robot avatar where you can change to something else if need be.

I actually figured out my Beat Saber streaming problem (probably related). I was using OBS with desktop capture. Apparently the VR capture plugin makes a MASSIVE difference.

@vapid musk There's two ways to report someone. The in-game button people already mentioned, and also sending an email to moderation@vrchat.com. See the #moderation-reports channel for guidelines on what to put in an email.
A good method to get someone's exact name, is to check your game logs and use the search function to find and confirm it. That way you only need a small part of the name to get the full name. You can also use steam screenshots as a quick and silent method to record a nametag, since tags will still show up in those.

If sending an email, be sure to check you're sending the right logs. The mods will need some form of evidence to be able to investigate and act on.

I run the game on an i5 2500k and a GTX960, with 16gb of RAM. Using Vive headset.

It's been plenty enough for me to enjoy the game, but does occasionally limit what I can do, and obviously can make the experience less comfortable at times.

Is also worth noting that I overclocked my CPU to 4.6ghz. So it's an old relic that you could describe as running fast but stupid. (Lacks the modern instruction sets Unity 2017 expects)

For me 45 FPS is generally the best I get spare when looking at the sky, or exploring simple worlds solo.

#

30 FPS is my "comfortable" norm in a typical room. 23FPS is where it seems to settle when in a busy room or with more performance hungry effects going off.

VR applications will be a bit warped and odd towards the edges of your field of view however due to how the lenses and such works, so you sort of end up looking around the center most of the time, perhaps even moving your head around a bit more.

Some camera tripods and some shelves worked for me, though tripods can be unusually expensive.

Large windows with a lot of reflective surface could interfere with the tracking systems, having a curtain or something to cover them could be a good idea.
