Also the reason you get slow fps in a laptop would be partially because it's a laptop, and partially because the game is crammed full of user generated content 100 times more performance hungry than most AAA games.
Even the absolute best PCs get bad fps fairly frequently in this game. Only takes one bad avatar.

The tldr way the ik works is by doing all the computery-stuff for everyone you see. So if you're looking at 10 people moving around, those 10 people are 10 different loads on your cpu
Your CPU is like "OK these 10 people are all moving this way" and it was worse if it was full body.
THe networked IK made it so each user calculated themselves on their end and transmitted t hat through the internets to game and th e game sent it to all the other players, so basically you were only ever calculating yourself

Public hub on login combined with vrchat auto-starting when oculus home started up combined with oculus home starting up when rift plugged in combined with booting pc with headset already plugged in meant itโs connect to a random public world when I booted my pc and hear random people talking. I use wmr. It only has 2 cameras up front, but when it goes out of camera range, it uses other tracking data to still track 360. Never claim it's as good as vive, but I've used many vr systems and wmr is still something i think gets a lot of misinformation regarding the tracking

Head tracking is actually the best on wmr because of its tracking system. Doesnโt have to rely on other trackers. Same tracking system also hinders hand tracking. Iโd recommend wmr if you easily get motion sickness and donโt mind the hand tracking
