Basically a portal is just a render texture that shows the same view from behind the wall of the other location with the same offset, and a lower FoV based on distance so it matches the perspective perfectly

So as long as we can tie render camera FoV to distance from portal it should work fine

That might require a small single line of math which would make it impossible for vrc

But lag wise portal style portals are no more laggy than any other camera render

There was this time once, on an old forum I used to frequent. It had a reputation score system. An admin that was a friend of mine one day reversed my score into equal negative numbers as a joke, taking me from 2nd place to last.

Load of other users saw it and threw sympathy upvotes at me in a futile attempt to fix it. Reducing the negative score closer to zero.

When the admin then undid the reversal, simply by removing the negative sign on the rep value, all those upvotes effectively became double strength downvotes. ^ ^;

Was one of those times where I had to fight griping about the feeling of pety injustice, with also recognising that it didn't remotely matter.

is it a viable option to just play sitting down with the rift?

(the headphones on my rift broke so I'm using regular earphones, so the length is too short to stand up XD )

you'll need around 3 usb's minimum if I remember right and a hdmi port

so make sure your pc can handle that many first

headset requires 1 usb and hdmi, each sensor requires 1 usb

so I'm assuming you're going for just 2 sensors

2 infront pointing to the middle of your space, and then one behind you but in a corner pointing to the middle of the space
