Howdy! Just wanted to check in here for some advice. VRChat has my attention and I'm super excited for it, but I don't think I can quite go for a Rift or Vive. Was thinking about a WMR, specifically the Acer version. Do these work well enough, would anyone say?

@craggy birch wmr is great, if you can get a Lenovo its pretty much regarded the best of the normal wmr headsets. The Samsung odyssey+ is the best of the lot however with higher res display (same as vive pro res), integrated audio, built in mic, adjustable ipd etc, It also happens to be on sale atm for $299 amazing for that price. once you look at the display on an odyssey+ going back to a vive or rift is like going back in time., they look awful, no comparison at all.

I never say anything against rift or vive. The person was just asking specifically about wmr, and gave my opinion as a wmr user with rift experience. My argument is always that it's to preference. I've asked quite a few who've tried all different ones, and each camp has their favourites. I've herd some say they'd never go back to wmr, and ones who switched from vive and rift to wmr and couldn't be happier. There's one guy who has everything, even the pimax 5k+, and said he likes his odyssey more than his vive pro. It's all to preference, let people enjoy what they have

Right now you have to launch it separately and calibrated it using steam desktop or oculus dash. An OVR build can put it right next to Advanced settings menu and load your calibration offsets as soon as steamvr is started

Happens sometimes, VRC is relatively small, little fluctuations can put some serious load on it. If it persists, I'm pretty sure there's a channel for that. that said, check your connection lope, worlds are loadin' fine for me

There is a way to use more hand emotes called gates, which uses hand combos for each hand which let you do any two combination of gestures (but not doubles or reversals), which should up it from 7 to %MATH%.
