That doesn't always save you though. Some of these kids have animations that take up entire worlds with particles and its a pain to fight through the lag to figure out who did it and then block them before you crash. Its more of an issue for people running low specs.

Uploading avatars really doesn’t require “learning” unity though. Installing it, opening the SDK, opening the avatar, and uploading it, isn’t really rocket science and def doesn’t require leaning unity. We’re talking about 6 mouse clicks.

I only learned Unity after I got my Rift last May and had zero previous exposure to Unity or Blender before hand. I’m already merging and splicing models to make customized avatars using both programs, admittedly Cats is really helpful with Blender and does a lot of the heavy lifting, but if Unity is supposed to be difficult I’m just not seeing it. I went in blind and was schocked at how intuitive everything is.
This is gonna come off as sounding like I’m humble bragging but really either people are following bad tutorials or maybe they just think they can’t and aren’t even installing it in the first place because it’s very easy in my opinion.
