Also the hand dissociation might improve by trying different avatars. Give it time. Some people have phantom touch, others dont but you can develop it a couple percent with time

Japan shrine is a really inspirational world, The atmosphere it creates is incredible, especially with the way it achives specific effects with such low poloygons and layered low quality effects.

Whenever i join japan shrine, i just stare and look into / analyse all of the detail... It has really inspired me a full time programmer who also has done alot of 3d modelling and am working on a vr game

if you make maps in maya/3ds, and possibly blender too, you can have it simplify meshes by trading polygons for normal mapping

Of course, but generally it involves manually constructing a high/low poly version of the mesh. You could just start with a high poly version and decimate, but that process results in a significantly poorer topology then manually creating a low poly version. It is 100% evident in japan shrine that the mesh has not been decimated, instead has purposfully been crafted in a low poly manner

Never gotten vr sickness and i usually avg about 40-45 in a large group of people. Dunno about going lower than that for too long though. Best remedy for me was to stand when i play and enable comfort turning (the snapping turn).

It may even help with your daily tasks too. Like if somehow all your RAM is taken at one point, the computer starts caching stuff on the hard drive, slowing everything down. With more RAM, less chance of endless grinding hard drives.

You can do some weird stuff by showing subtly different images to each eye. I kind of wish I could have an opt in system where I can say I'm going to show something weird that could hurt your eyes. Do you want to see?)

Hey, quick question, has the price of VR headsets just increased recently? I wanted to get a VR headset back at the end of 2017 to play VR chat but I couldn't really afford one at the time as a broke student. But back then I'm pretty sure I was looking at an oculus rift or HTC Vive for 300 to 400 euros? But the price for them now is quite a bit higher, no? Like a HTC Vive set is 600 and is around 450 euro's? Are there any cheaper alternatives or something? Idk I've just really wanted to play VR Chat with VR for a while now, but can't really afford to spend more than maybe 300 euros. Are there any cheaper versions comming out later this year or something? Sorry if this isn't the right place to ask.
