there are other workaround floating around but they use humanoid avatars, which through my testing i've found is unnecessary

These places start loading the vans for a days delivery around 5 to 6am. Unless you're driving in for 4am, you risk missing it.

Oculus blacklisted older cpu's/gpu's so they dont work with the headset, and I guess it also carries on to the plugins. After you delete this it should be fine.

Anyone having problems with VRChat NOT running after the update, this worked for me: Delete/rename AudioPluginOculusSpatializer.dll located in ...VRChat\VRChat_Data\Plugins(edited)

I do understand it, but there's too many problems with it. This is a modern video game. Some of the PCs running it didn't even fit the requirements to begin with.

other unity devs implemented a switch case to disable new functions on systems without avx, it is possible. but is it worth their time? fixing those crashers is probably more important and maybe a step back from photon to something more secure.
